I made this recipe for the first time to have on Christmas morning. I've made other stratas (which is what this casserole truly is) in the past, so I was confident that it should taste good. I was right! I assembled everything on Christmas Eve before we went to sleep. We woke up and put it in the oven, and it was ready for when my parents and in-laws arrived to eat breakfast and exchange presents. Everyone raved about this dish. I only made one change to the recipe. I suggest using 8 large eggs, and keep everything else in the recipe the same. I also bought maple flavored ground pork (Bob Evans brand). This will definitely become a staple for my family on Christmas morning.
