My first attempt at this dish didn't seem any different from other pulled pork dishes, I barely tasted the smoke flavoring. However, I have tried this again for the second time for a potluck and it was a hit. I followed other commentors and added some cabbage and add'l smoke flavoring toward the end and the results were satisfying. I received a lot of comments from those at the potluck requesting for the recipe. I'd definitely make this again...although this time I'll make sure to find Hawaiian Salt - I found Himalayan Salt, which I thought was the closes thing to Hawaiian Salt. -- Still tasted wonderful - must be even better with Hawaiian Salt.
