I am a full time mother and have been cooking ever since my mom bought me my first EZ bake oven when I was 5. It was what I loved to do. Everytime my mom would be baking cookies or just cooking in the kitchen, I had to have my oven out too. Chicken enchiladas, Carmel apple pork chops, Pad Thai, cupcakes for my daughter and just love to try out new recipes all the time. I would have to say that I prefer to bake than cook. Every Christmas my mom and I get together and make our Christmas cookie favorite. Along with that we make our traditional Lefsa each year as well. I entered multiple contests in the state fair and won a blue ribbon or higher each time. This started when I was only 7 years old. I plan to pass this tradition onto my daughter. Making a pumpkin pie and spilling it all over the oven while I was putting it in to bake. Also making a orange jello cake that didn't rise. It turned out like concrete. I think it was all the jumping in the room from my daughter which made it fall instead of rise. Oh well..try again, right?
