Orange Balls II

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
Love these! My Grandma has made these all my life and I look forward to them every year! Tip : Put the vanilla wafers in your food processor to grind them up... saves a lot of time. Also stick dough in the fridge for awhile then use a melon scoop and they are all the same size and your hands don't get as messy :)

Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
Great recipe! Only used half the water, half the black peper, forgot the ginger,3 cloves of garlic and left the mushrooms out but added some shredded carrots for color....and a pinch of red pepper flakes and replaced the sesame oil with olive oil and it was still wonderful! Thumbs up from both boys 9 and 19!

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
Great Fried Rice!!! I didn't need the water and used a lot less white onions only about a tablespoon of minced dried onions and a tablespoon of chopped green onions:)Added a little salt also. I cooked my white rice and stuck it in the freezer to get cold! Make sure it's COLD rice or it will be mush:(

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
Great Southern biscuits! The real secret to great southern style biscuits is to cook them in a cast iron skillet with shortening melted and brushed over the tops also. That's how grandma made them :) Yum!

Very easy and yummy rolls! Family loved them. I did add my salt to the flour mixture instead of on the stove. Brushed with melted butter right out of the oven.

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
Nice pizza dough. Easy to work with. I did cook for 5 minutes before adding my toppings and then removed from my stone and cooked straight on the rack for the last 10 minutes or so. I also brushed the crust with olive oil and sprinkled with some pizza sea salt seasoning I had. I like the idea of letting my bread machine do the hard part for me:)

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Sure beats the heck out of jar pizza sauce:) I didn't have any marjoram so I just used italian seasoning instead. Wonderful for dipping bread sticks and of course great on our homemade pizzas.

Easy Lima Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
Great way to cook lima beans. We all liked them very much. I cooked mine in the crock pot all day. Turned out wonderful!! I had a bag of dried baby limas that I cleaned and soaked over night. I added more chicken broth and only put 1/2 tablespoon of dried minced onion also a little sea salt. They smelt great all day and leftovers froze well.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

YUM had a very nice kick to it!! Served w/ chicken flavored rice, veggies and rolls. I did add about half a shot of tequila when I added the lime. Also made a little gravy out of the juices. Next time I will cut the salt in half, a little too salty for hubby gotta watch his blood pressure:)

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
This is amazing! I am in LOVE with this recipe it reminds me of a chinese place that served this years ago(it was my all time favorite) and this is just as great if not better!!! If you pay attention and do it right. The ONLY thing I did different was fry my chicken in my deep fryer and kept it warm in the oven until sauce was ready. Oh and only marinated my chicken about 30 mins. Needless to say hubby and I were fighting over the leftovers. Haven't had this dish in at least 15 yrs I am so happy I have found it. Thank you!

Peanut Butter Fudge IV

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
Great recipe! Been using this for 15 years or more! Everyone loves it. Just remember to remove your pan from the heat when adding the fluff and peanut butter. Also spray your dish with cooking spray you are pouring the fudge into so that it doesn't stick.

Made these for a quick lunch for my son one day and he LOVED them! Didn't have fake potatoes so I used ruffles crushed very fine and a little dry bread crumbs. I also put a little hot sauce in the egg mixture. Gives it a little pop:)
