About this Cook
I'm a wife to my hubby and a Mom of three(ages 20 to 10)..I'm very family-oriented and am always looking for new recipes to try out on them(err..I mean, to DELIGHT them would NEVER use my family as guinea pigs ;-) )..
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy baking, especially breads and desserts..Recently, I've stuck to mainly fast and easy recipes, due to time constraints with a new job..
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom(who has since passed away) used to make the best banana pudding every Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday..I continue this tradition today and now my own kids look forward to it..

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
I made these the other day and they were a big hit with the family! A quick, easy recipe that will definitely satisfy any person's chocolate/peanut butter craving..*NOTE - I did follow others' advice to freeze the peanut butter cups before placing them into the cookies..This keeps the candy from completely melting and reduces the cooling time so the cookies can be stored..

Mom's Cucumber Salad
I tried this recipe today with some of my home-grown cucumbers..Sooooo good..I did add two more cucumbers because there was alot of dressing..It's okay though because we will definitely eat it all..Highly recommend this recipe!

Pioneer Potato Candy
A lady at our church made this candy years ago and I thought it was so good..Glad I could find the recipe! I did find you had to add more sugar than the recipe called for..You just keep slowly adding sugar in small increments until the dough gets so stiff you're not able to easily stir it, then cover and chill..Then, I dusted my surface and dough with powdered sugar, rolled it out & divided the dough into four sections to make it easier to work with..Then, section by section, I spread peanut butter on the dough, rolled it up and made the roll very thin(much like you did with playdough when you were little, making skinny 'wiggly' into small pieces and..yum!..enjoy...Overall, a great recipe but makes ALOT of candy..I'm going to half it next time..
