I love to take recipes an turn them into my own by tweaking here and there. Cooking for family and friends is indeed my favorite hobby, and they all know it. I brings me such pleasure to see them enjoy what I make. They always ask "what's in it that tastes so good?"...I say love

Sloppy Joes II
So much yummier than the can. The family loves it even when I sneak in extra veggies like zucchini. I've made it with elk, antelope, turkey and regular beef. All awesome.

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice
Made a quadruple batch tonight so we could have leftovers. Needless to say there wasn't much left over. It's a favorite every time. Only thing different I do is leave out the crushed red pepper. The kids don't like it spicy, and so whoever wants it can sprinkle some on later.

Beet Salad with Goat Cheese
Exceptional! I placed the beets into the dressing and marinated them for about 1 hour, then removed them and placed them on a bed of arugula. I did however need to skip the walnuts since our kids are HIGHLY allergic. This is a definite keeper. I'll even plant beets in my garden next year just for this.
