White Almond Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
Yummy! My whole family LOVED this cake. The frosting recipe (Buttercream) was a little too sweet for the cake though, next time I'll try something else. There will be a next time! Probably Easter!

Navy Bean Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
First let me say that I've made Navy Bean soup many times. I used to buy the flavor packet they sold at the Honeybaked Hams store, it was delicious! Then they quit selling it and I began my search for a good recipe. I can now say that I've found it! My family and I give this recipe 5 stars! That said I did eliminate the tomatoes, and because we like a little thicker broth, I added about 1/2 cup of instant mashed potatoes ( a little trick my Mom taught me). It really is the best Navy Bean Soup I've had in a very long time! BTW... I did use a Honeybaked ham bone left over from Thanksgiving, I do think their hams make the best soup!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2013
My family LOVED this Peach Cobbler! We liked everything about it! I did make as the recipe called but I added 1/2 again as much of the dry ingredients as suggested in one of the other reviews. I served it with vanilla ice cream and it was a big hit!

Three Packet Slow Cooker Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
Made this in the crock pot for Sunday dinner....EVERYONE loved it! I immediately called my sister and told her to plan on it for one of the nights of vacation dinners. I know she will love it too! And so easy!

Chef John's Chicken and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2014
I made this for the family tonight and even the members that don't like mushrooms, loved it. It was quick and easy. I browned the chicken in olive oil and butter, transferred it to a baking dish, deglazed the pan with a little cooking wine and poured it over the chicken. I baked it for about 20 min. Sautéed the mushrooms in a little butter until well browned. Once baked, I sat the chicken on top of the mushrooms and poured the juices over all. Served it with rice/noodles (some like rice, some egg noodles) and veggies! Yum! Will be making this as a regular!

Spinach and Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
Sorry Madball...this one didn't work for me. I gave it two stars only because a few of the 14 people I made it for, said it was OK. I found it barely edible. I even tried adding some Barilla pasta sauce to it, which helped, but it was still very bland.
