Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Very similar to the Wilton Giant Choc Chip cookie recipe, but larger. I love the Wilton one and the pans to use are very cheap. Find them online for only about $7. They make great cookies each time and have the recipe for that pan on the back.

Holy Cow - great recipe. Haven't used leeks too much but this recipe makes it great.

Megan's Granola

LOVE this recipe--I actually double it as my husband eats it like it's going out of style. Use it plain, on yogurt, on top of oatmeal. Have varied ingredients based on what I have--always turns out great. I make it over and over!

Monkey Bread V

Great recipe. Used to make it as a kid. Did swap brown sugar for white and added 1 tsp of vanilla to the heated mixture just before pouring into the pan. Yummy!

Apple, Carrot, Or Zucchini Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
Great cake! Very thick batter until I added the grated fruit/veggies. I used about 1/2 apple, 1/2 carrot. Topped it with cream cheese frosting (made from this site). Split into 2 8" squares (was sharing 1 cake w/a friend) and had some for us too! Yummy!

Sausage and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
Very good. I used egg beaters and "gimme lean" (soy meat subsitute) and it was very good. Good low-fat option to the Jimmy Dean type of product and difficult to tell difference in this kind of recipe.

These are great! I got many compliments. Makes a nice large batch for a crowd. Used my own cream cheese frosting recipe.

I really like this recipe. I've shared it with friends. It stores nicely in the pantry and can be used for any type of pancake you like.

Hearty Oatmeal Loaf

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
Really tasty-slightly sweet but not too much. Had a hard time putting down the loaf. Had to switch out the apple juice for a mixed berry - it's what I had on hand - and it was still great. I chose this recipe because it used all purpose flour and I was out of bread flour but I was not disappointed at all. Will make again and again.

Caramel Popcorn

Really good. A great gift treat for friends too. I have to be careful when I make it because I eat too much of it. Definetly blows the eating plan in a hurry. Share with friends.

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
I got a ton of compliments on these, except everyone wanted to eat them (and they're not exactly a light food!). I had fun putting them in the bottom of a small sundae for the kids and they had a great surprise when they found it there. Can't go wrong with these tasty ingredients.

Easy-Bake Risotto

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Soooo good. I'd like to experiment with other veggies, like asparagus, but for a first time risotto cook, this was great. My neighbor thought I was stirring for hours and hours. Makes a nice huge batch and we had leftovers for days. I used asiago and parmesan (it was what I had in the fridge) but I will make this again and again. What an inexpensive, great meal. Kids loved it too!

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
I really liked the flavor in these. I used chopped chocolate bars for the chocolate and they were probably the best choc chip cookies I've ever made. They did get hard after a day or so, but the flavor was great!

Graham Streusel Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
I've made this one several times, for friends, cake walks for the kids, company. It is always a huge hit. I have to omit nuts due to allergies, and it's still good. Simple and just soooo good.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
I really love this recipe. I did decrease the cocoa just a bit, added 1T butter and a bit of salt as the others recommended. I used 1/2 of the milk as evaporated skimmed milk. And, second round, I doubled the recipe. Cook time increased a bit, but still worked out. Just a great pudding! Thanks!
