Red, White and Blue Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2011
I've made this cake many times and it's beautiful as well as delicious. I usually make it with chocolate cake but whatever cake you choose will be fine. So easy and fun for kids to do!

Don't change a thing about this recipe! This is the first thing I ever made as a child and it is still one of my favorite cookies.

Strawberry Trifle

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
When I finished making this dish, it was too beautiful to eat! It was delicious but I made a few changes. Because my husband is diabetic, I used sugar free pudding, used whipping cream and added Splenda. I also added blueberries. This was a huge hit with our company and easy to make. I will definitely be making this again!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
I made these for Christmas and I never make frosted sugar cookies. This recipe is truly the best! I made no changes and will keep it on file for later use.

Favorite Old Fashioned Gingerbread

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
I made this and followed the advice to double the spices and add applesauce. Not good! I found it way too spicy but the applesauce was a good idea. It was very moist but if I ever make it again I will follow the original recipe but still add the applesauce.

Hamburger Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
This recipe is a favorite at our house. It is not only healthy but inexpensive. I use low sodium tomato juice, add a can or two of diced tomatoes, and have often used a package of frozen vegetables for soup. I add lots of basil and other seasonings but I never measure...I just go by taste.

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
I followed this recipe to the letter and was quite pleased with how it turned out and tasted. In spite of all the changes by many reviewers, I will continue to follow this recipe to the letter. It's a keeper!!!

Hamburger Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
This is an absolute favorite at our house but I make it differently. I use no water, tomato sauce, or ketchup. I use low sodium tomato juice. I also add basil. Instead of fresh, cut-up vegetables, a package of frozen vegetables for soup can be added. I've done it both ways. This is a very inexpensive, healthy, and easy meal.

I made this for Thanksgiving and it was awesome. The only thing I didn't do was invert it on a plate. Yummy!!!
