Amazing Ribs

I would have given it 5 stars but I didn't really like the beer taste. I skipped the "pre-cook" part and just put it in the crock (10 hours on low) with some sweet baby rays sauce, onion, garlic, liquid smoke, and porter beer. I love dark beer and used my favorite. The ribs were perfectly done - fall off the bone. However, they had a really weird aftertaste that I can only attribute to the beer. If I were to make this again, I'd cut out the beer for sure and I think that would make all the difference in the world.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

I just finished making these and loved them! I did add a small carrot and zucchini to the food processor and used oats instead of bread crumbs. Also, I doubled the recipe but used 3 cans of beans - two black and one kidney - and froze the leftovers. The consistency was perfect...not too mushy and not falling apart.

Chris's Incredible Italian Turkey Meatloaf

I have made this recipe several times now and it has become a favorite! I make it exactly as written and it's fabulous every time. I use Trader Joe's 99% lean ground turkey along with a very good Italian turkey sausage that my local grocery store carries. I had tried other turkey meatloaf before but none compares to this and I tossed those old recipes because I certainly have no need to make those anymore.

Easy Pesto

I'm not a pesto connoisseur by any means and, in fact, this was my fist time trying to make it myself. But I thought this recipe was incredible! I followed the recipe with the following exceptions: I added a few squirts of fresh lemon and about 1/4 cup parm/reg cheese.

Mom's Pumpkin Pie

I made this for Thanksgiving and it was fabulous! I doubled the spices based on other reviews and, for me, this was a mistake. I should have probably just made the recipe "as is" the first time. Even with the overloaded spices, it was the best pie I've had in a long, long time. I made homemade crust but used canned pumpkin. Today I'm making it again with my own baked pumpkin and I'm sure it will be even better!
