Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2012
This was good. I used a little more ham and cheese and sliced at the end. Sauce was tasty but very thick, next time I might eliminate the cornstarch.

Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
I did not care for this dressing at all. Way to much oregano. No zip to it at all, even after I doubled the vinegar. I will be searching still for a good Italian dressing recipe. Very disappointed after reading all of the great reviews.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
I used a rotisserie chicken and subbed blue cheese for the ranch. Did not bake, instead heated everything n a skillet. Turned out yummy! Everyone liked it. Also, I made it 2 days in advance and it heated up nicely.

Big Al's Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
This was pretty good. I eliminated the egg and next time I will half the poultry seasoning. Very good taste, not vinegary at all. I believe I overcooked the chicken, next time I will be more careful so it will be more moist.

Quick and Simple Broccoli and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
This was okay but would be alot better with a few changes. First, I used microwaved frozen broccoli steamed in the bag. be sure to drain all moisture, even letting it sit on a paper towel for a minute would work. Then follow recipe and add extra cheese until it is to your liking. If you don't drain well, you will end up with a watery mess.

Spicy Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
This was wonderful, I will make this again! Followed exactly except only used 1 tsp salt. Perfect. I marinated longer than 30 min w/o the lemon juice, then added it and marinated for additional 30 min. DH loved it, we had no leftovers! be sure to use raw shrimp and do not overcook! Awesome!

Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
This was yummy but needs tweeking. Either too much sugar or sugar needs to be mixed with rhubarb, not sure. It crystallized into HUGE layers and had to be picked out to eat. Great flavor though! Will try this again.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
We really loved this bread! I scaled this down to one loaf, using 1.5 bananas. Next time I will use 2. baked for 55 min...little too long. The sugar on the outside was awesome! Next time I will use a nice, thick layer! Made this again with 2 bananas and 1/3 cup of sour cream. Very moist and hubs loved it!

These were great! Be sure to use low-sodium soy sauce, I didn't and it was a tad salty. Brown really well. Turned out very tender.

This was excellent and simple. Be sure to use a water bath and be sure that the foil has no leaks. When done baking, turn oven off, crack door and let it cool for an hour. So good!

Super yummy! Be sure to use low-sodium soy sauce though or it will be way too salty. BF and I both really enjoyed this. Impressive as well!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
This cranberry sauce is to die for. I have been making this recipe for years and will never use another. I add the fleshy part of one naval orange chopped with all white pith removed, stirring it in before cooling sauce at room temp. Brings this sauce from great to fantastic! It is impossible to mess up this recipe. I make thisup to 3 days in advance, it allows the flavors to blend and is one less thing that you will need to worry about on a busy day.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
This is good but lacking flavor. olive oil needs to be decreased so that the shrimp can absorb all of the yummy flavors. Skewer and throw on a grill!
