Yum! We didn't have the bell pepper, but still, yum! Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

This is a great basic recipe. Very flexible. It's a base or core recipe that can be switched up many ways, as is evident from what other reviewers have done with it. I love recipes like that! Thank you for posting it ANNOFBEV. I wavered between giving it 4 or 5 stars (I rarely give 5 stars). It's yummy as is, but I prefer it with garlic, celery salt, onion powder, salt and pepper added (to the butter, flour, milk mixture). Topping it off with crushed corn flakes, bread crumbs or potato chips and butter is nice. I've also used French's Fried Onions on top (do not mix with butter, they're fatty enough & brown up well on their own), which is very good. This has become a regular meal in our household - everyone loves it. Thanks again ANNOFBEV!

Easy Broccoli Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
I struggle here - I rarely give 5 stars. This recipe may be a 5. It was very tasty and lived up to its name - easy. I particularly liked that it had more veggies and less eggs than most quiche recipes. And to the guy who recommended not using frozen broccoli because it can make it watery. I say you can use frozen, BUT you must thaw it first and then make sure to pat it dry very well in paper towel before using. Anyhow, thanks for sharing the recipe, sal! It's a keeper.

Tasty. Easy. Make ahead. What's not to like! The cream cheese mixture can be used as a dip with tortilla chips or crackers, too. Just stir it well when you take it out of the frig to loosen it up and warm it up. Thanks to Diane for sharing the recipe!

It's a winner. Simplicity at it's best. Thank you, ELLIE11 for posting it. And like the previous reviewer (just before mine, I think) I will use this as a basic recipe that I can change up and play with.

Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
This is a great bbq sauce. Have never found a bottled one I loved, even though there are plenty of acceptable ones on the market, so I'm delighted to have this recipe because I love it and so does my hard-to-please family. The only change I had to make, because I never keep molasses in the house, is that I substituted that ingredient with honey and some maple syrup. Used the same amount, just combined the two. Thank you, Alan, for sharing this recipe! P.S. I think its flavors are even better after a day or 2 in the frig.

Good, not great. Was expecting more based upon what the reviews were. Our youngest, who is 8, gave it 5 out of 5 stars, while the rest of the family gave it 3. It's a good recipe for simple palates.

You have to love an easy 5-ingredient recipe that's tasty. Like the idea of adding other ingredients to change it up, so thanks to the other reviewers for those tips, too.

The simplicity can't be beat. I cooked it on the stove top in a third of the time because I hadn't prepared correctly and it was still good. Tangy.

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
Didn't have shredded turkey or fresh cilantro. Used ground turkey, which I cooked in advance, and added extra parsley at the end in place of the cilantro, and it turned out great. I also added extra salsa, for two reasons: only had one 14 oz. can of diced tomatoes and because we like things spicy. Worked out well. It's a flexible, yet yummy recipe, which is perfect. If you're watching your weight, you could leave out the sour cream and cheese and it would still be very good. Glad to have this recipe in my book! Thanks.
