Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
I did not care for this recipe. I used good vinegar and followed the recipe to a T.

Ritzy Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
The family liked this one except the sauce was unappealing to my son. It looked curdled and jelly like, and he's got a thing about texture when he eats. Hubby said it tasted really good but had to admit the curdled look was a bit off putting. Followed recipe to a T so not for sure why sauce looked as it did. My family is a visual kind of brood so something looking appetizing is a must! Won't make this one again but gave it three stars for ease of making and taste.

Potato Soup VIII

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
This soup was very bland. I added a few tried and true spices(garlic, basil..etc)and it still didn't make this worth the effort. I ended up adding some cheese to make it palatable and couldn't even make myself take leftovers the next day.

Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
My carnivores loved this one. I didn't make it exactly the same..omitted the croutons and used a bit more chicken and added some basil, garlic powder, onion powder and chipotle chili powder. I also didn't cook with gravy on the uncooked rolls. Made gravy in saucepan and served as a dip for the finished rolls. My husband said it's a keeper for sure.

Carrot Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
Very bland dish. And even more bland the next day. I'm a rice-aholic but couldn't seem to spice this one up no matter what I added or took away. Pretty to dish up but might as well be eating a non-tasty rice cake...

Orange Juice Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
This makes a good moist cake, not very orangey though. Next time I'm going to try and pump up the orange flavor by following some of the suggestions in the previous reviews.

Slider-Style Mini Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
My husband ate so many of these it was crazy. The entire house smelled like a Krystals restaurant. He reports flavor was great and they even reheated well...I'm sure he'll have me cranking these things out weekly!

Creamy Veggie Potato Stew

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
I customized this a bit to my taste. Sauteed one onion, 2 carrots, and 1 1/2 stalk celery together in about 1 1/2 tbs butter with a couple shakes of pepper salt and garlic powder added 5 cubed potatoes 5 cups broth, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, paprika and some Mrs Dash...brought to a boil lowered to simmer covered and cooked for about 15 minutes(I diced potatoes very small) In small bowl I mixed together 1 can evaporated milk and 2 tbs cornstarch added to soup brought to a boil until thickened. YUMMY!!! I also didn't make as large of pot as the recipe makes cuz I'm the only person in my home who'll touch a potato. Good base recipe as listed but I would never cook the potatoes seperate throw it all in together.
