After reading many reviews I made this with half the liquid and less eggs. I'm glad I did as the other reviews of those who liked the original recipe wanted more of a bread pudding. I did sub. cinnamon bun coffee creamer in place of the cream and instead of slicing the bread I cut the bread into 2'' squares. It came out looking very pretty, was simple to prepare (baked while opening presents), it's sweet, but other than that it didn't have a whole lot of flavor. I plan to make it again keeping the bread in slices and maybe using more cinnamon and vanilla. I also think maybe it would have been good to bake 20 minutes, flip the bread, cover with topping, and then finish baking. It was hard to rate this since I didn't really use the original recipe. I would suggest making it your own and doing a practice run before serving.
