Easy Garlic-Lemon Scallops

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
First time making (and only second time eating) scallops. My husband and I both loved the recipe. I doubled all ingredients except for the scallops because we like more sauce. I added a splash of sherry and some flour to thicken the sauce a little. I also added a tablespoon of parsley.

Tantalizing Turkey and Blue Cheese Meatballs

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
Just got finished eating this recipe and my husband and I both loved it! Unfortunately, I made it prior to reading the reviews. Like others, I will reduce pepper and double bleu cheese next time. I did not find the mixture to be too loose or liquidy, it fit into meatballs nicely and they were very moist when we had them. Served over angel hair pasta tossed with olive oil and a sundried tomato alfredo sauce bought at the store.

Chicken-Baked Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
My husband and I really loved this recipe. I typically am not a fan of pork, but he is so I try to make it once in a while. It was fantastic, and the gravy was great. I am a beginner when it comes to cooking and the recipe was easy to follow and we had all of the ingredients handy. I did use milk instead of water, added some fresh chopped garlic and some fresh sliced mushrooms. The recipe made so much gravy, we were able to spread it over rice as well. Will certainly make this one again!

E-Z Marinated Swordfish

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
This was fantastic! I followed the recipe exactly, although I used lemon juice instead of lime since that was all I had. Our fish was fresh from the butcher, so I am sure this helped, but the marinade itself was great. We are adding this into our regular rotation and have already bought lime juice to try next time.

Grape Leaves Aleppo

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
Ever since I tried grape leaves at a local restaurant, I have been dying to make them. I finally found a local butcher from whom I could get some ground lamb and decided to make this recipe tonight. Besides the fact that mine were slightly falling apart (the plate I used to hold them down wasn't quite big enough for the pot), they tasted EXACTLY like the ones I order at the restaurant. I followed the recipe exactly, except I cut it down to 6 servings, as 36 servings was way to many for my husband and I. I will most certainly be making them again, we both mmmmm'd and ahhhhhhh's the with every bite!

Romantic Chicken with Artichokes and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
If there was a 4 1/2 I would give it that. The flavors were great, although next time I will add some flour to thicken the sauce. Also, we love sauce, so will likely double all the "saucy" ingredients to make more. I followed the recipe exactly, but I used sherry instead of white wine since that was all I had.

Honey-Poppy Seed Cornish Hens

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
I made this a few nights ago and it was so yummy. My husband loved it. It was my first time cooking a hen and I was pleased it turned out so well. We even made the marinate again and used it on chicken, which was also great. I did add some garlic as others suggested and it really hit the spot.

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
Really good and easy to make. I did as suggested and used more flour and also added baking powder. It was very thick and sticky, so the step that notes: "pour" it into the pan didn't work out. I used a greased spoon to spread it into the pan. Topped it with a little ricotta, garlic, chicken, feta, fresh spinach and artichoke hearts. It was fantastic.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
This was pretty good, although I made several changes. I added bacon and some frozen spinach to the mixture and only half of the mushroom stems. I put some feta with sun-dried tomato on top and it was fantastic.

Easy, Cheesy Zucchini Bake

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
The recipe was okay, although it was a little runny for our taste.
