This was awesome! Everyone raved about it. Made as is but did not layer. Served with pita chips and rye crackers.

Cathy's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2006
This is the only banana bread recipe I use anymore!! And to top it off, I always use egg substitute; I use plain applesauce instead of margarine and I use fat free sour cream! Admittedly, I've tried to use Splenda, but I don't care for the taste or texture of that! Sometimes I add mini chocolate chips for the kids!! This is the best! Thank you Cathy!

Coconut Macaroons I

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2001
I thought the directions were not very precise. Also, the step with mixing the almond extract with the egg whites needs to be defined better. Was I supposed to beat it in and make it like a merengue? Then I was unable to use the pastry bag either for some reason; had to drop it by spoonfuls. They tasted good but I was hoping for great.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: May 22, 2001
When I lost my recipe for snickerdoodles, I came to allrecipes. Boy, was I lucky!! These are the best snickerdoodles I have ever tasted and I have been making these since I was a little girl. No refrigeration!!! (My old recipe called for that!) And unfortunately, I just know it is the shortening that makes them so yummy and light; of course it would have to be the most fattening ingredient in the recipe. Kudos to Mrs. Sigg!
