About this Cook
Married since 1980, two grown children, 2 many pets, husband cooks more than I do. I used to cook all of the meals but hubby would come behind me and taste while cooking and add his own spices, etc...and it ticked me off, so I told him he might as well cook! (His father always helped cook) Now that I am not working and he is, during the week I TRY to cook, sometimes monotonous, sometimes experimental, hate thinking of what to cook each day, cheap budget, lots of chicken breasts, hamburger, roasts, kelbasa sausage, turkey sausage, pork chops & cube steak occasionally. Veggies are the worse to think of...it's usually called "a can o' something"...peas, beans, corn!!!! I don't like much meat, my husband HAS to have meat. messy and boring is how I describe my cooking...
My favorite things to cook
yummy desserts from scratch. Creatively different things using leftovers. Things you can dump into a crock pot and let it go!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday dinner: Roast N gravy with carrots, potatoes, rice, macaroni pie, lima beans, and wonderful dessert!
My cooking triumphs
A few things that I threw together that were a hit. Like not having another pie crust for my "beef pot pie" so I topped it with mashpotatoes and cheese.... my turkey sausage breakfast casserole, my creamy peach pie....etc....
My cooking tragedies
mostly cooking things that I hate but my family loves, I get bored with it and don't seem to put a whole lot of effort into it after the 20th time, I think I know it by heart, and end up leaving something out...and blah! My family thinks that I do it on purpose and honestly, I would not waste food that way! Putting too much spices "creatively" into a recipe and have the taste be just awful!

Cathedral Windows II
I've always used 1 stick of margerine/1 bag of Hershey's choc. chips/1 cup of broken pecans/ and 1 bag of mini colored marshmellows...simple to remember. Can anyone tell me what difference the eggs are supposed to make? I'll def. try this idea of the loaf pans though, it's been harder and harder to get these dudes to stay in a round roll....Maybe the marshmellows are too warm and melted from the hot choc...
