Very good! I followed the directions, but used one reader's suggestions of adding 1/8 C cornstartch mixed with 1/8 C half-and-half to the second boiling in step 2. This resulted in a nice custard style filling. Make sure you stir the flour and cornstarch well so you don't have too many lumps. For my first pie, I only added bananas to the bottom of the pie crust and then to the top when it was finished (I didn't bake it). For my second pie, I mixed sliced bananas in the pudding when it was cool. Either way is good, depending on how much banana you like!
