Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2013
Very good. I halved the recipe, used vanilla Flavoured Christmas chips, used have the amount of vanilla pudding, chilled the dough (always do) & added salt. Baked until just lightly browned then kept on sheets for a few mins before transferring to racks.

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2013
Not that flavourful & needs way more candies in it. Used 1 cup butter instead of shortening & 1 cup of m&ms in batter & added another 1+ cup to balls in cookie sheet. put dough in fridge for a few hours before making into balls & baking. Still not nearly enough candy. Next time I will add some chocolate or peanut butter chips.

Best Ever Split Pea

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
Very good. Not quite as rich as one maked with pork but much healthier. I left it chunky & added chunks of cooked ham & quinoa. Very good!

Toddler Muffins

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
Awesome & super moist as everyone else says. I used a little less butter & brown sugar & substituted whole wheat flour & sweet potato & chicken baby food (all had in cupboard) & turned out great. Made mini-muffins & baked for 20 min & still could have left in few notes longer.

Blackened Fish

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
Made a healthier version by rubbing spice mix on trout and then baking in oven (no oil or butter!) so good! Awesome Cajun spice mix. I made as is except eliminated white pepper (didn't have it).

Very good! Quite spicy though so beware if you don't like a hot Cajun. Will make again for sure.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
Bland, no flavor...family hated it. Followed recipe exactly. Don't know what all these other reviews are talking about. Really disappointed - now I'm left with a pile of it & will have to get creative with sone serious spice to use it up

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Make more of the sauce. I used a full green pepper (medium size) & about double the onion (wanted more veggies) and doubled the sauce & it was perfect! (don't think original recipe would have been close to enough sauce). Very yummy! Made Much better than any canned or packaged option I've ever had. Quite ketchup tasting so would add more spice next time.

I am NOT a baker and this was easy enough for me to do and turned out awesome!!! Not too overwhelming with peanut (which some recipes are). Made exactly like original recipe. Will make again for sure.

Tangy Apple Chicken Loaf

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
Awesome! Incredibly flavorful, not dry at all. A new family favorite. Made exactly as is but cooked a bit longer on higher temperature before decreasing (45 at 400 then 15 at 375). Seasoning so good I am planning to use this combo in other dishes!

Creole Chicken I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
yummy. added extra tomatoes for more liquid. put rice in pot like original recipe says but cooked rice longer than recipe indicated before adding so didn't soak up too much juice. best to watch pot to make sure doesn't soak up too much liquid & then turn off. I added more spice because we like it spicy.
