About this Cook
Soon to begin my sophomore year in college at the University of Tulsa, I have been cooking since third grade when my dad taught me how to scramble eggs.
My favorite things to cook
Scones, Bread Pudding, Chili, Cookies, French Bread, Bean dip, Casseroles, Crepes, Meatloaf...
My favorite family cooking traditions
In my family, my dad always did most of the cooking, and wanted steak about four times a week, so I very quickly learned if I could make it, I could eat it. Some of our favorite family dishes are our chili, meatloaf, and crepes.
My cooking triumphs
Improv. My best improvised recipes have been my pumpkin pie, meatloaf, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, devilled eggs, french toast and bread pudding.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for my boyfriend for valentine's day, and although he said it was ok, I was too afraid to taste it. It did not look good. :(

Sauceless Garden Lasagna
This was an amazing recipe! Excellent as leftovers as well. The only shortcut I made was using canned tomatoes (redicut) instead of fresh. Prep time was longer than stated for me, since I am very slow at chopping things, but well worth it. You can play around a lot with this repicpe and it should turn out fine. This is the best recipe I've found on this site so far.

Broccoli Cheese Soup
This turned out almost exactly like my favorite restaurant's! I did a couple substitutes but no major changes. I sauteed minced garlic with the onion and omitted garlic powder, used four packets of chicken bouillon and four cups water in place of the chicken broth, used frozen broccoli cuts instead of chopped and let it simmer until tender enough to break apart, and instead of mixing the cornstarch with water i mixed it with the second cup of milk. Turned out perfect and just the right viscosity.

Fast and Friendly Meatballs
I basically utterly failed at this, which was probably my fault. They were rather tasteless and hard to tell when they were done.
