Lobster Bisque

Very quick & easy, and of course delicious! I also used a few alterations: I boiled fresh shrimp & lobster until almost done, then simmered the boiling liquid and used 1 cup of that instead of the the chicken broth. instead of 2 cups milk: I used 1 cup milk, 1 cup heavy whipping cream. Added: 1/4 tsp. white pepper 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 2 tablespoons good chardonnay

For my first time making caramel, these tasted great! Like another reviewer said, definitely use a larger pot as it will bubble and almost double in size. These were creamy, and chewy. It did take about 40min to reach the right temp. I would give it 5 stars, but my caramels turned out very oily on the outside. Not sure if it's the recipe or my inexperience since it is my first time making this. Will try it again with less butter next time and we'll see.
