Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2014
Mine came out runny. Not firm. The flavor was sensational, but runny. Like a runny cobbler. But, ice cream makes this sensational!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2012
Fantastic! I did 9 breasts, because it made a lot of bbq juice. I also added finely chopped onion & bell pepper at the beginning. I toasted kaiser buns. This recipe is off the hook, winner winner chicken dinner! my best compliments to Zanne Tastic! Thank you so much!!!

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
This is ultimately one of the cornbread recipe I seem to have been looking for although I never knew it. I like a cornbread that's more like a cake, sweet & light, not heavy or dense or worse = dry! This is good. Might half the sugar since I like to eat my cornbread crumbled up in my beans, but this was really good! Worth a try and very much worth a recommendation!

Chunky Cheesecake Brownies

Wonderful recipe. Easy and easy to adjust. I used white chocolate chips in the cream cheese mixture. I also served squares warmed up in microwave with a dallop of cherry pie filling for a special dessert with a small scoop of ice cream!

Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
Wonderful recipe! I added two cups of raisins. I used a large ice cream scooper to make six really large thick cookies and added about two - three minutes to cooking time, but keeping a close eye. I wanted a chewy & sweet oatmeal cookie, and these are excellent!

Luscious Date Bar Cake

This recipe was easy and came out terrific. The only problem I had was whether to add whipped cream or ice cream to it; the whipping cream won!

Fruit Cocktail Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2005
I first tried this recipe back in the late 1960s, but lost the recipe. It came back when I saw "Steel Magnolias" as the Cup-a Cup-a Cake. I made it without the egg. And like the movie, I always serve it with good vanilla ice cream, just to cut the sugar! Simple to make for a last minute dessert, guests think you created a master piece.....and you did!

Irish Boiled Dinner (Corned Beef)

Reviewed: May 1, 2005
This recipe is excellent. I got a "corned beef" brisket, only difference that it came with a seasoning packet you add to the boiling water. Follow this recipe's cooking time is key to a very tender meat! It was cold and rainy out, I made some cornbread to go with it! A smashing success!!!

Easy Swedish Pancakes

Good recipe! good alternative for carb counters. Good for savory pancakes too; roll pancakes filled with grated colby cheese and finely chopped onions and bake 350* for 10-15 min. Serve with either fresh salsa or sausage gravy - delicious!

very good, but needs time to sit in the refridgerator for the dressing to chill and blend into the crispy vegetables.

No Bake Sugar Free Cheese Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2003
A good recipe. I experiment a lot in variations. I omit the cinnamon. Instead of Lemon flavored sugar-free jello, I also tried Orange flavore with orange zest, or Lime (mock keylime). If you try cherry or even strawberry, add fresh berries to the mixture as well.

My Mom used to make this frosting back in the fifties and sixties and was my favorite on her home-made sour cream devil's food cake! Since it's basic color is white, any food coloring made every occasion a grand presentation!
