Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
THIS RECEIPE IS AMAZING! First time cooking a prime rib and was nervous considering it's not a cheap meat to practice with. Turned out PERFECT! I followed directions mostly and fine tuned with a few tips. I lined the bottom of the pan with quarted yellow onions for a bit of a zip. I followed directions other than at the moment it was time to turn oven back on for the remaing 30-40 minutes. I quartered small red potatoes, seasoned them in olive oil and Mrs. Dash garlic and onion seasoning and when it was time to turn oven on I had someone ready, we pulled oven rack out, they lifed rib roast up by rack and I quickly dumped the potatoes in. We settled rib roast rack back in and closed door... roast was at serving temp in 40 minutes! Wrapped in foil to settle in flavors while I prepared a red wine mushroom gravy au jus. Fantastic! Everyone raved! Although my 10lb roast was a bit spendy... will do it every Xmas from now on! Never will a restaurant prime rib compare!

Baked Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
This recipe was awesome. Marinaded my 10 lb, precooked, smoked ham in bag with two cans of diet coke the night before rotating as much as possible then drained, rubbed ham with spicy brown mustard & horseradish sauce, packed with brown sugar then added new coke and baked. It turned out AWESOME! Received rave reviews!

Sparkling Punch

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
After reading the reviews, I too chose this punch recipe for my daughter's baby shower. It received an overwhelming response. I had double the recipe and we still ran out and the soda bottles were hardly touched. I even forgot the small bit of sugar and it was fantastic!

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
This receipe is awesome. It's pretty much like the receipe on the back of Knorr Vegetable mix. I doubled the batch and it still didn't last long! I used a 10oz bag of fresh baby spinach finely chopped as well as one package of the frozen. Finely chopped six green onions and also added a small package of cream cheese. Can't ever have too creamy... and served with small sourdough baguettes brushed lightly with the olive oil, seasoned with salt and pepper and lightly toasted.... YUMMY!
