Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

I use 4 slices of american cheese to substitute for the velveeta, and I used 4 tbs of panko bread crumbs. I have tried this recipe with different combos of cheeses and it always comes out great.

Cherry-Blueberry Pie

This pie is easy and delicious. I also have made it using mixed frozen berries (not just blueberries). My boyfriend actually likes the mixed berries better. I like both ways.

I made this cake for my bartender friend for his birthday, it was fantastic and everyone loved the flavor. I doesn't taste too much like alcohol. I used lemon cake mix instead of orange, and poured the batter in a 9x13 aluminum pan. I wanted frosting instead of a glaze so I blended together 4 cups confectioner's sugar, 1 cup shortening, 2 tbs milk and the tequila, triple sec and lime juice from the glaze recipe. I continue to make this cake for my booze loving friends!!

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

5 stars for how easy this was to make and the taste is great!! I added about a tablespoon of salt and one clove of garlic. I used Pinot Gregio wine. I thought is was perfect buy my roommate thinks I should use a different wine next time or less of it. I think this is my staple marinara recipe from now on.

Pumpkin Ice Cream

I skipped the pecans and the cookies and added cinnamon teddy grams and refroze it in tupperware. Love this and sooooo easy!

Hummus III

This recipe has great flavor, but I only add one heaping tablespoon of tahini, and I reserved some of the garbanzo bean juice and added it to the blender to get a the entire mixture to blend completely.

Tomato Vodka Sauce

I didn't want to buy a whole bottle of vodka, so I bought a 50mL bottle (minibar size) and added the whole thing. I think it is the perfect amount. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. I have made this twice and my family loves it!

Rum-Spiked Horchata

Hawaiian Stew

I made this recipe vegetarian and it turned out pretty darn good and was so easy to make. I put a little olive oil on the bottom of the pot, then put the veggies on first. Then the soy sauce. I used one bag of frozen morningstar farm crumbles and put them on top and cooked for an hour. I will make this again, very low in fat and carbs with the veggie crumbles.

Tropical Baked Bananas

This was a good and different way to use up bananas, but I think the baking time should be increased. I baked my dish for 12 minutes but it could have gone longer. The bananas were not baked through.

Burnt Butter Rice

This is a good dish to serve when you have guests. I have a friend who has dreams about this rice now. It is not healthy by any means but sooooooo good.

Baked Sweet Potato Sticks

I loved the taste of these, and they are really good cold. I used some additional spices as some people suggested. Great idea and probably hard to mess up. I this recipe with white potatoes and I had to increase the baking time by 10 min.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

This turned out great, very tasty! I made this recipe for Thanksgiving. I loved the fact that I was able to make these the day before, saved time on the big day and they didn't take up any oven space.

Vegetarian Jambalaya

As is I think this Jambalaya is very bland. I will try doubling the spices as some suggested. It is a healthy recipe,and pretty easy to make. Don't know if I will try it again or not.

Blueberry Muffins II

I followed this recipe almost exactly. The only change was that I used 2 cups of frozen blueberries,instead of fresh. Nice recipe, very easy, better muffins than what you get from a box.
