Tasty Baked Meatballs

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I don't like meatballs. I really don't like anything with ground beef in general. These were AMAZING! I literally said "Wow" when I tried them even though I was standing alone in the kitchen. I accidentally used condesned mushroom soup instead of regular mushroom soup, so they were moist and had a slightly stronger mushroom flavor without falling apart.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
Very nice and easy to work with. I added another tsp of milk to stretch the icing further, but I liked the consistency of the recipe as is. It dried very quickly, after about an hour, and allowed me to stack the cookies nicely.

Easy Devonshire Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
This was very good, like a fancy whipped cream! =D. Oh my gosh!! I just put sugar-free strawberry preserves with it!! AMAZING!! It will probably taste even better with fruit. Right now I'm eating it with whole wheat ritz crackers :)

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
This is my absolute favorite recipe on AR! You can modify the ingredients (more potato, less celery, etc) and it doesn't affect the taste. I like to put little bits of tomato on top for a pop of color. Perfect as-is or with whatever you have on-hand in the kitchen.

Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
My bf loved this. I doubled the bacon because I love bacon. I loved how well the flavors melded together well without being too complex.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
Perfect! I used frozen strawberries. I chopped them all into quarters or eighths and cooked 2/3 in the sauce pan. I used a whisk to smush those up while warm so I didn't have to use my food processor. The last 1/3 of the strawberries were added in at the end. I let them cook with the faux-pureed syrup for 3 minutes.

Gramma Bertha's Banana Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
My bf really liked this. I made it in two 9-inch rounds. The centers didn't cook as well as i'd prefer, which is probaby why the recipe recommends a bundt pan. I screwed up at first...I forgot to put flour in the batter!! I cooked it for ten min before I realized it, scooped the batter back in a bowl, added flour and recooked it. That also could have contributed to the soggy center. =) Fortunately, even with the huge mistake, my bf loved it. lol

Way Easy Pizza Sauce/Bread Stick Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
This was a very very good recipe. I liked how simple it was. I accidentally put 1/4 tsp of dried basil in it because I could have sworn this recipe mentioned it, but I am positive it would still be at least a 4.5 star without the basil. Excellent and easy.

S'mores Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
These were soooooo delicious! A hit at work! There wasn't enough crust for the bottom and top, so I made these open-faced and put all of the crust on the bottom. Usually I would give a recipe one less star because of a poor ingredient amount, but these were so good I can't help but give these a five star!

No-Guilt Zesty Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
I made this twice, once with 1 teaspoon horseradish and once without any. I think this is an excellent dip! It had a really nice kick, with or without horseradish. I'll keep making this as my new stand-by dip and use 1/4 teaspoon of horseradish.

Exchange Gang Pasta with Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
Perfect! I added a dash of cayenne for a slight kick. My sauce was watery, but that was my fault. I quick-thawed my shrimp and frozen spinach in water at room temperature within 30 minutes of cooking. Because they didn't fully drain I put 1 teaspoon of flour in the mixture and that helped. Next time I will plan ahead with both the shrimp and spinach. Thank you Exchange Gang!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
AMAZING!! I made a few modifications. I added 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, an extra teaspoon of cinnamon, an extra teaspoon of vanilla extract to the cake, and used walnuts instead of pecans. For the frosting, I reduced the powdered sugar by 1 cup so I used only 3 cups and I omitted the pecans. I made these modifications based on other reviews. This was perfect, amazing, and immediately eaten by all.

Waldorf Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
Very very good. I omitted the dates (didn't have any and have never tried them before) and lettuce. Instead of lettuce I used a high-fiber wheat tortilla and made it into a wrap. It was very good in the wrap, but you have to be careful since wheat can be an overpowering flavor. I don't like celery or walnuts, but they enhanced the flavors of the dish and add a nice crunch and pop of flavor. Next time I will use less celery or chop it up smaller so I don't get as much flavor pop. Very good salad/wrap. Tomorrow I'm going to put the leftovers on wheat ritz crackers. :)

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
Sooooo delicious. I baked it in two layers...one layer was a 10" springform pan and the other was a 9" springform pan. I used carton egg whites. The recipe worked really well. My bake time was faster bc I didn't use a bundt pan, but it was easy to keep an eye on it. Light, fluffy, and tasty! I topped it with the Supreme Strawberry Topping on this website!

Excellent! After tasting it, I decided that it needed a little more lemon, but that is a preferential change.
