Tasty Eggs for Two

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
This was great and very attractive. I didn't have any butter so I substituted it with a little bit of oil. I also used a fresh potato, cubed it, and microwaved it for a minute and a half since I never have frozen hash browns around. The amount was perfect so it would be a hearty meal for me and my bf. I sprinkled some Colby-Monterey Jack cheese on top as a garnish.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
This was a decent marinara, but it had a bitter taste and the wine flavor was too strong. I felt like I was drinking a glass of wine while eating marinara sauce. Next time, I'll use less wine and a little sugar.

Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
The recipe was too dry as is, but I added an extra egg and it made it a wonderful consistency. I used the buttermilk pancake mix since I had that on hand.

These eggs were delicious. A different take on deviled eggs. :-)

Tomato Bacon Grilled Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
I made several variations of this. I prefer them with pepperjack cheese. My boyfriend and I preferred the sandwiches open faced - bread, cheese, bacon and tomato. Very good recipe as is, but if you want to be creative with the concept it tastes good as well. I also made them with pepperoni slices in the middle, but it wasn't our favorite.

Sweet Pepper Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
Excellent. I made a few minor changes. I didn't have red pepper on hand so I doubled the amount of green bell peppers. So there would be more color, I added carrots, diced in small pieces. Before I took it off the stove I tasted it and thought it was slightly bland and needed a kick, so I mixed in cayenne (to taste). This was very very good with the addition of cayenne.

Tomato Bread Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
Excellent! I didn't have fresh basil so I used dried. I added fresh spinach to add more nutrition. Also, I used white onion since I was out of red. (I used the cider vinegar option versus red wine vinegar, and olive oil option versus vegetable oil.) The dressing was delicious =D

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
The bf rated this as a four based on taste. Personally, I would rate the taste as a three since it was too strong for my preference. However, I appreciate that it is a very easy sauce to make, using ingredients that I typically already have on-hand.

Korean Bean Curd (Miso) Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Perfect! It tasted just like my Mom's (she is full Korean and I'm half) and I imagined that I was in my Korean home again. Thank you for this amazing recipe. I even goofed and bought the extra firm tofu and it tasted amazing. Also, I used a milder type of gochu jang.

Grilled Peaches and Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
These were amazing! I took them on a picnic. I baked them for about 5 to 7 min at 350 degrees Farenheit. Then I drizzled honey and put the cream cheese spread on it, then popped it back in the oven for a few minutes. We ate them about 45 min after they cooked and they were still delicious. =D. Thanks for the easy recipe!

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
I thought this turned out really well. The spices gave it enough of a kick to make it stand out. My only change was to do 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar, but this would be good with just 1 cup of sugar. In my opinion, the amount sugar can generally be changed based on your personal sugar/sweet tolerance level. The boyfriend and his family loved it.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
This pie crust is excellent. It was my first attempt at a homemade pie crust, and it turned out perfectly. I don't even own a rolling pin - I had my boyfriend roll it into a ball and flatten it with his own hands. Also, his aunt, who is a very good cook, said she wished she could make a pie crust like this.

This was tasty, but the BF felt like there was something missing. I think garlic might enhance the flavor.

Whit's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
This was excellent. I didn't use monterey jack - I made a mixture of pepperjack and cheddar cheese. The boyfriend couldn't get enough of this. Also, I used BLSL chicken breasts, but I used the water method of cooking. Never tried that before, but it was amazing. :-)

I'd give this 11 stars if I could. Wow! I love that you can put any veggie with this and it will still taste amazing.

Basic Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
This was a solid pizza crust recipe. My bf really enjoyed it. It was a bit thick for my taste, but that's just personal preference. I felt the dough cooked well and handled well enough.

Easiest Pot Roast Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
My boyfriend gave this a 5, but I'm giving it a 4 since I felt like something was lacking, regarding flavor. Also, the pot roast was a little dry, so I feel like there should have been more water in the recipe.
