This was really good. Really spicy. My boyfriend loved this.

Seasoned Broccoli Spears

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
My boyfriend loved this. Personally, I am not a huge fan of thyme so I'd reduce that amount in the future. Will make this again, thank you!

Potato Bacon Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
This was pretty good. I think it needed more potatoes, but the flavor was good. I used fat-free milk and fat-free sour cream, so the soup wasn't as thick as I'd like. (Just an FYI for those who want to use fat-free ingredients.)

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
It was good. I added sour cream on top of it. The recipe had too much green onion, in my opinion. I liked the addition of salsa. I used colby/monterey jack mix since I didn't have a cheddar/monterey jack blend.

Veronica's Apple Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
These were really good. I'm not a pancake fan, but I did enjoy these. I used red delicious apples, so my bf thought they were a bit bland, but I'm positive he'd like them better if I had used a tart apple like the recipe says to.

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Amazing! I added a green onion for color and a little bit of extra flavor, but the recipe was a five-star as is. =) I used fat-free sour cream and fat-free mayo. My boyfriend couldn't tell that they were fat-free and he loved it!

French Toast I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
It tasted like your average french toast. It was good, but not great. I included all of the optional items. I tried it at first with just the vanilla extract and the nutmeg added...it was definitely better with cinnamon. This is a good, solid french toast.

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Good, but nothing special. The flavor was a bit bland...I think the proportion of marinade to salmon needs to be increased. Also, I think the flavor needs a little adjustment.

Bananas Foster II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Very tasty. I omitted the nuts since I didn't have any on-hand. It would have added a nice texture contrast, though, so hopefully I have some next time.

Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
This is pretty good. I didn't have carrots or broccoli so I used bamboo shoots and spinach. My bf enjoyed this, even with the changes. I'm sure it would be even better with broccoli since that's my favorite veggie.

Tomato Bread Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
Excellent! I didn't have fresh basil so I used dried. I added fresh spinach to add more nutrition. Also, I used white onion since I was out of red. (I used the cider vinegar option versus red wine vinegar, and olive oil option versus vegetable oil.) The dressing was delicious =D

Italian Salad Croutons

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
I used this with wheat bread. I don't have an oven, so I cooked them on my George Foreman. They didn't get very crispy, which was fine bc my bf and I don't like them super crunchy. Plus I was using them for a tomato bread salad. The flavor was exquisite!!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
It tasted good but a bit bland, so I added crushed red pepper flakes. I used fat-free cream cheese and 2% milk, which probably affected the richness of the sauce. Disclaimer: I tasted a few bites of this, but this is primarily my bf's rating because I made it for him.

Fruit 'n' Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
I really liked this, but my bf didn't care for it. I'm going with my opinion on this though! It's easy, refreshing, and light.

Italian Chicken Skillet

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
Loved this! The pasta didn't cook enough before it was time to add spinach, and it felt like the pasta was frying, so I added extra wine to provide moisture. Used more spinach and cheese than written because of a preference. I used whole wheat penne instead of the seashell.

Garlic Green Beans

This was awesome!! I added bacon bits, just because I love the mix of bacon bits and green beans and I wanted some more color in the meal. =D

Spinach and Potato Frittata

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
This was a great base recipe. It didn't have a lot of flavor...my bf said that it tasted like cheesy hash browns. I think I'll add tomato and basil and bacon, maybe some additional spices, the next time I make it. Great recipe, just doesn't have much flavor. Love how quick and easy it was to make, though.

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
I was confused about the amount of green onions...it seemed like way too much. There was also too much parsley...I only used 3/4 of the required amount. We added celery and green bell peppers and omitted the cucumber (didn't have any on hand). Delish first time with quinoa!!

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
This was great. We had leftover spinach mix, so we served it on top of the chicken in addition to having it rolled in the chicken.
