Very easy and a GREAT recipe for using up leftover breads. I've made it twice and last time even used some leftover angelfood cake I found in the freezer. For the 2 T sugar on top, I use 2 pkts of Natural sugar. It adds a nice crunch. After my 1st 2c bread, I added 1/2 diced, peeled apple, sprinkled cinnamon, and some chopped pecans. Add 2 more c bread and do the same. After final cup, I sprinkle with cinnamon again, add egg mixture (with an additional egg to bump up protein, 6 is fine 7 is too eggy), then top with the natural sugar. Next time time we have overnight company, I'm going to try preparing the night before so I can pop it in the oven for a fast breakfast.
