My cooking triumphs
I baked a fabulous rich chocolate cake, and we ate the whole thing within a day--we even finished off the pieces I had (futilely) left in the freezer for future enjoyment...and there were only two of us :-)
My cooking tragedies
For one Indian dish I had never made before, I followed the recipe to the letter and it ended up looking like a disaster, or so I thought. It turned out that that dish was intended to look exactly so, because my husband recognized exactly what it was. Unfortunately, it also happened to be his 2nd-worst favourite Indian dish of all!
