The Ultimate Chili

The longer you cook it the better! I strongly suggest nothing less than low for 8 hours. High on 6 leaves the meat too tough to taste like authentic chili

Big Charlie's Gumbo

It came out okay, but it did not have the "gumbo flavor" I've had out of New Orleans, so I added some Zataran's gumbo seasoning to give it a kick.

Roast Pork with Maple and Mustard Glaze

Great Flavor! The family loved it! Like many others, I chose to cook it in the slow cooker for about 5 hours, and then put it in the oven to roast. I came out with an incredible tender inside, and a nice roasted outside.

Egg Drop Soup II

It was a hit with the family, but when I went to my favorite Chinese place, this recipe didn't even come close. Theirs was much thicker. Next time I'm going to use more egg and drop the green onions.

Mushroom Pork Chops

I browned them in the skillet, then put them in a baking dish, poured the sauce over them, and baked them. They came out the most tender I have ever seen pork chops. Even my mother said they were the best she's ever tasted!

Grandma's Polish Perogies

This recipe worked very well. The instructions helped me as I have never made these before. My only criticism is that the perogie dough was very bland. Next time I'm sprucing it up.

Southern as You Can Get Collard Greens

Great recipe! The only thing I changed was the time. I got the fire as low as I could get it and left it there (cover on) all night, and all day, stirring occasionally. I heard if you do the same thing with green beans, they come out amazing. Can't wait to try it.
