About this Cook
I am an Army wife and mom of 2. Our youngest just started Kindergarten this year and I spend most of my time now volunteering in their classrooms and for the PTO.
My favorite things to cook
I just love to cook. I love to try new recipes. My husband was a VERY picky eater when we first got married and I've really tried over the years (almost 10 of them now) to find recipes I think he will like.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love having parties and telling people to just show up. I just love to cook all of it.
My cooking triumphs
Having my husband say he loves something I have made.
My cooking tragedies
I used some seasoning and breading one time only to figure out that it wasn't breading or really seasoning. It was all salt. LOL! We threw it out and I cried.

Friendship Tea
I just made this x6! I poured a cup worth into plastic cake decorator bags (the icing cones), twisted and tied off; printed off cute tags saying what the mix is and what to do with it and placed them in cutesy mugs I purchased. I wrapped it up in tissue paper and placed them each in a gift bag and those are my Christmas presents for the neighbors. :) I made some for myself already and I absolutely love it, but I like it a little stronger. Thanks for sharing!

Banana Banana Bread
I followed the recipe exactly, simply because it bugs me when people don't. I feel I have to make it exactly at least once to be able to rate it. I give it 5 stars all the way. I DID however add just a little light brown sugar to the top once it was in the loaf pan. The entire bread turned out perfectly. After reading a few comments I was careful not to mix too much. I mashed the bananas and added brown sugar mixture and eggs and then dumped in the entire flour mixture and carefully mixed it trying to not add to much air. It turned out PERFECTLY! Thanks so much for a wonderful banana bread. It was definitely very banana - ie

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III
I followed the recipe exactly other than cooking them longer (12-14 minutes) and simply doubling the recipe. We shared them with the entire neighborhood and EVERYONE loved them and asked for the recipe. I've been looking for a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie that didn't taste like crisco or flour and this is definitely it. These are super moist, thick, cakey cookies. I can't say enough about these, thank you SO MUCH for sharing! EXCELLENT!
