My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2014
Sorry, not good at all. Didn't care for the vinegar taste. Worse clam chowder I've ever had.

Pork Chop and Cabbage Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2014
Took advice from others, seasoned the chops, potatoes & cabbage with garlic powder, salt & pepper. Covered for the first 45 minutes, uncovered for 1/2 hour more. Chops were tender but everything was very bland. Won't be making again.

Garlic Seasoned Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 16, 2014
Only rating a 4 because I love a bone with my chops. My chops where thick so I baked 20 minutes on each side & they turned out very moist. The people who said it was tasteless must not have put enough seasoning on them, I used A LOT. Think I'll make these again but with bone-in & also use a little real garlic like another reviewer did. Thanks for sharing.

Easy Grilled Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2014
Not bad, nothing special but was okay for a quick dinner. I did add a little garlic powder & olive oil. Grilled it on my Sanyo indoor grill...thanks to the COLD weather here in Michigan.

Oven-Roasted Asparagus

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
Good. My asparagus were thin, took 13-14 minutes until done, so you really have to watch them. I tossed everything into a zip lock bag (used less than 2 tablespoons of oil & thought that was too much). Like others I spread the parmesan on top before going into oven. Will try with lemon next time. Thanks for the recipe.

Hummus III

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
Just okay, used more garlic, boiled the garbanzos first (glad someone mentioned to do that), had to thin it out with the liquid from the can of beans. Sorry but I like the other recipe from this site better, its called Real Hummus.

Best Darn Minestrone Soup Around

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2014
Your recipe is wonderful. I did make a few changes as others, used less butter, added garlic to the onions and used frozen veggies (can't eat a vegetables from a can.) Really enjoyed NOT having to spend a half hour chopping veggies. Very good, thanks for sharing.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
Lots of bad reviews for the meatballs, so I used Kittencal's "Italian-Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meatballs because I knew those were good. Not enough sauce to cover the meatballs. Sauce was so-so.

Oven Fried Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
Spread the pan with Pam, that was plenty of oil. I THINK I made this a few years ago because my notes said to add garlic powder and seasoned salt, still think it needs more seasoning. But it did come out crispy on the outside & juicy inside. I'm still keeping this one, just need to add a little more spices. Thanks for the recipe.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
Very good, like others I used garlic & onion powder in flour before browning. Also if you like a thick stew must triple the cornstarch. Never had celery in stew, but turned out good, maybe will add pearl onions next time. Will keep this recipe.

Smoky Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
Being that pork is one of my favorite foods, I found this to be way too spicy. It was more like a Cajun type of pork. For those who love spicy you'll probably like this, If you want to taste to the flavor of pork I recommend trying "Best Grilled Pork Chops" which is on this site.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
Good tasting. I marinated 5 1 inch chops for 5 hours. Tripled the marinade sauce (A MUST). Like Michele said, the sauce didn't stick very well to the chops. My daughter ended up putting store bought bar-b-q sauce on them. Covered them for the first 25 minutes with foil, took the foil off & flipped them & baked for 15 minutes, then broiled them for a few minutes. Still came out a little dry. Really have to pay attention when making pork chops.

Creamy Potato Pork Chop Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2012
I seasoned the chops with Montreal steak seasoning, salt and garlic powder, still the chops where tasteless. Did not like the taste of the potatoes at all. The best I can say about this recipe is that it wasn't watery like other reviewers complained about. Won't be making this again.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2012
I smashed a bag of stove top stuffing mix for pork and followed all the directions. It tasted like a pork chop with stuffing on the outside. Not great, not bad. Needs more seaonings, if I make this again I'll add 2 gloves of garlic to the egg mixture or add some garlic salt. But really I don't think I'll be making this again.

Festive Bean Spread

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2012
This was good but needs more a a kick. I only used 2 cups of Mexican Blend cheese & skipped the cheddar, that was plently of cheese. This isn't something that I would serve to guest, but this being a non-cooking day (for me) everyone enjoyed it....And it only took 15 minutes to make. Thanks, I'm keeping this one.
