Oh my goodness these were addicting! I was a bit skeptical to try these at first because I thought that the crumbled ground beef would be weird in a burger vs. patties but these were excellent. I thought I had a package of onion soup mix lying around but I didn't so instead I added a finely chopped medium onion when the beef was almost cooked through and onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning salt and pepper to taste. I loved the addition of fresh onion and probably would have felt like this recipe was missing something if I had not added it. I found these great slider buns (at Greenwood market for you seattlelites) that conveniently came in a 24 pack. I'm glad that I found these because I'm not sure how I feel about using sweet hawaiian rolls. I love those rolls with butter but I just don't think I'd like them with burgers. I had leftovers and they tasted great heated in the microwave the next day. Thanks so much for this recipe!

Great flavor and great consistency. I did have some issues with the ice cream being kind of gritty but that was an error on my part. I had a hard time melting my chocolate evenly so there were a lot of tiny chunks of chocolate that made it gritty. Next time I'm going to melt the chocolate separately and then add it to the cream.

This did not turn out well for me. The flavor was nice but the consistency was horrible. It was very icy and would not harden in the ice cream machine. I stuck this in the freezer and it just turned into rock hard frozen cream.
