Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
YUM! I used a 5lb chicken and it's broth. I soaked a bag of dried navy beans. I used the larger can of diced green chiles. I added lots of black pepper and sea salt. We sprinkled each bowl with shredded Monterey Jack. What a great way to get some healthy organic chicken broth in my babies! YUMMY!!

Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Love these potatoes. I followed the recipe, except I used a little more olive oil and I sprinkled the wedges with parmesan instead of adding it to the bag. I added Vidalia onion wedges and whole cloves of garlic. I just threw them in the baggie after the potatoes. The onions were almost as good as the potatoes.

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
Great stuff! I followed some reviewers advice and used coconut oil (an ultra healthy miracle food...in my opinion) instead of veg oil (poison, in my opinion:D)and did as others, using the nuts I had on hand. I used equal parts honey, maple syrup and brown sugar! This is the best granola! Going to add some pineapple jerky as soon I can get to the store.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
Wonderful Bread! Took some suggestions and used 3 cups zucchini, 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup white sugar. I cooked it 60 minutes and it probably would be have been better at 55 minutes as one reviewer mentioned. I doubled it and made the second half into mini loaves for the freezer! Great Recipe!

Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
Love this soup! I used to make cabbage soup for the famous diet. This is much better! I followed some suggestions and used brown sugar, a little extra vinegar. I added 1 cup of red wine and a little crushed red pepper. I used 1/3 sausage and 2/3 ground beef. I LOVE THIS SOUP! I make a cabbage soup with beans and ground beef that we like, so I might try adding a few kidney beans next time. But maybe not, since this is the best cabbage soup I've ever had!

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread II

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
WOW! I must concur!! I followed 4my2boys advice on 7 bananas and Danielle Beattys advice on the muffins for the kids. I didn't make any other changes except I made a few mini loaves and added coconut and pecans for me. YUM! THIS IS THE BEST BANANA BREAD!

Kalacs (Hungarian Cinnamon Swirl Bread)

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
This makes the most wonderful cinnamon raisin bread! I added the dry ingredients into the wet the second time I made these and they were even better than the first loaves. I added 1 cup of soaked raisins in the last few minutes of kneading. I doubled the cinnamon sugar filling. Wow! SO GOOD!!!

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
These are so good! We'll never buy boxed again. I took some suggestions, I upped the butter to 1/2 cup, 2 tbsp vanilla and 5 tbsp sugar. I sifted and separated :D YUMMY! I am going to freeze a batch and see how they hold up to reheating! My DD asked "why" then tasted one and with big eyes said it was the best waffle she'd ever had, including some restaurant brunch waffles! I always froze my own pancakes and thought why not waffles. (Nothing like homemade to cut out as many genetically engineered foods as possible). My motive was no GMO's and no MSG, but that is lost in the FABULOUS taste and texture of these waffles!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Yum! I was able to use NON Genetically Engineered Cornmeal. I was so excited to be able to cut the GMO's, preservatives, bad fats and it's better than boxed!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
I love this bread! Healthy, no GMO's, MSG or preservatives and my kids love it. I tweaked it a little. I made this with a Kitchenaid mixer. I let the yeast, water and honey proof for 10 minutes before adding 4 cups of white flour then let it sit 30 minutes. I then added the butter, salt and honey as directed. I then added in 1/2 cup King Arthur RED whole wheat flour, 1 cup King Arthur WHITE whole wheat flour and 2 more cups of white flour. I let it rise about an hour in an oiled bowl. I puched it down and then let it rise again in the refrigerator for 2 or 3 hours (until doubled). At this point I put it into oiled loaf pans to rise one more time or shape it into loafs for the freezer.
