Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
This is really good. The only thing is it's a bit eggy for my taste, so next time I think I will use one less egg. I made a caramel sauce to go with it. I will be making this one again.

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
These are the best banana muffins I have ever made! I added some chopped pecans and a splash of vanilla. I also topped them with brown sugar cream cheese frosting. My husband and I couldn't get enough. They were gone in 2 days!! I am definately looking forward to making them again!

Banana Pudding II

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
This recipe is awesome! I don't like the boxed stuff...so I thought I would give this one a try. I don't have a double boiler so I just cooked it in a pot. The cornstarch is a bit off..so I added more and it thickened just right. I added a little bit more vanilla (we like the flavor). Also I mashed up my bananas and put them in the custard after it was cooked (personal preference). But it came out perfect! It's in the fridge chilling and we can't wait to dig in! I will definately use this recipe again! Thank you!!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
This was SO GOOD!! I used 3 frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts. I cooked them on high for 4 hrs. I was worried they would come out tough, but they were so tender you could cut them with a fork. After 4 hours I took them out and shredded them and then added them back to the sauce and cooked it for a little bit longer. I used the BBQ sauce Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce from this site. I didn't add the brown sugar b/c the bbq sauce was sweet enough. It was awesome! We ate it on bread. I served it with potato salad and baked beans. We have plenty for left overs and I can't wait for lunch tomorrow! This will def. be a regular in our rotation!

Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
This bbq sauce was AWESOME!!!! This is the first time I'd made bbq sauce and it turned out fantastic!!! I didn't have any liquid smoke so I used worcestershire sauce instead. I also didn't have any onion powder or celery seed so I used onion salt and celery salt and just omitted the salt it called for. I put this in the slow cooker with some chicken and made shredded bbq chicken sandwhiches. My husband loved this sauce and we will won't be getting bbq sauce from the store any more!! Thank you for such a wonderful recipe!!!!

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
This was really good!! I added some mushrooms to the onions because my husband and I really like mushrooms. I didn't have to cook the pork chops as long. I served them over noodles and it was great. I just ate the leftovers for lunch and it was even better the next day!! Thanks!

Herbed Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
VERY GOOD!! I really like this recipe. And it was so easy and quick to make. I added some garlic to the onions and a little bit of red pepper flakes. I also topped it with some cheese. It's so filling. I ate one bowl and was stuffed! I can't wait to eat the left overs tomorrow. I will definately make this again. Perfect for those cold winter nights.

Roasted Asparagus and Mushrooms

These were really good. I made them exactly as stated. The rosemary complemented the asparagus nicely. The mushrooms were alright. Maybe I'll try a different kind next time. I will make these again!!

Onion Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
The onions gave the rice a odd greyish color. And it was a little too peppery for me. But it's still pretty good. I will def. try this again and use less pepper and maybe a yellow onion.

Good for You Greek Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
Very easy and good. I added cooled tri-color rotini pasta to it. I also used a little more lemon juice (I love the tart flavor) and I left out the olives (don't like them). I also used halved grape tomatoes (I like them better, and it didn't seem to get as runny the next day). My husband loved it. I will def. be making this again!!

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
These were really good. Luckily I had all the spices on hand. I only used half as much red pepper because I don't like things too hot and it was just right. My husband liked them also. It's a simple recipe and doesn't take much time. They were done in about 20 minutes. I will def. be making this again.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
My husband saw something like this in the store so I told him I would make it for him. I found this recipe and decided to try it. He loves it! And so do I. It's really good and wasn't hard to make at all. I had some left over chopped up onions so I added them in and thought about adding mex. rice but didn't have any on hand. Definately will be making this again!

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I made this for our Christmas dinner and it was wonderful! It tastes like Cracker Barrell! And that's nice because we don't have one close to where we are living. I used cream of mushroom instead of chicken and used colby jack cheese. It's even good today as leftovers.
