Jewish Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
Amazing recipe! I topped with a caramel glaze and it just made it over the top. Perfectly moist, kept great overnight and easy to make.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
Sheesh, what else can I say about this? It's delicous! I had to sautee the onions/garlic then add the chilis and jalapenos and the beans and then I puree EVERYTHING in the blender. My loving boyfriend doesn't eat "chunks" but if I blend it he's none the wiser! Actually, I think I would prefer it this way even if I didn't live with Mr. Picky. It made the chili very rich! I also pureed with it some Salsa Verde for fun. YUMMO!

Grilled Halibut with Cilantro Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
I don't personally eat fish but my hubby brought back Halibut from Alaska so I cooked it for guests and they loved this recipe! Didn't change a thing. The Cilantro Butter was a hit. Thanks!

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
I didn't try it but made 3 for offices that I visit and got RAVE reviews. I mean, for 5 days after people were calling to say how tasty it was and asking for the recipe. I did up the Baileys a bit, but other than that, no changes. Thanks for the hit!

Cream of Broccoli Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
I exchanged the bullion cubes & h20 for broth and could really tase the chicken broth base. I wasn't super impressed, but that was my fault. It needed something, I just can't put my finger on it.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
Yum! I cut down on the butter a tad, but remember, that's what holds the peanut butter part together! Don't cut down too much like I did the 2nd time!

Bermuda Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2007
Left out the mushrooms and I think I'll play with the dressing a bit. Only added a TB of sugar and it was still a little sweet. Used Red Wine Vinegar but was still pretty tasty. Loved the basics of the salad, my mom made it when I was a kid (wouldn't eat Spinach then!) but I love Spinach now! Just have to play with the dressing.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
Very very tasty. I changed it around a bit though. In lieu of the Italian Dressing, mixed it with EVOO, Juice from the Jaleponos, Lime Juice, Cumin, Salt and Pepper. I also left out the black eyed peas and doubled the black beans. Also added chopped garlic, crushed red pepper flakes and the next day chopped avacado. Wish it were a little spicer but will definately keep this recipe and work on the heat factor!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
Very tasty. Added an extra 1/4 cup of flour to make sure I didn't have a problem with spreading (used all butter, no shortening) and had no issues. Also added walnuts for some crunch. Yum!

Awesome Baked Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I wasn't too hot on this recipe, but my guests liked it. I thought the bread crumbs were an overload, needed just a handful. I didn't even use 1/2 of what was called for. But overall, a tasty dish. I had planned on another recipe for scallops but after having a "sauce" issue this was my backup and it did the trick!

Very good, but I made the mistake of baking not frying and that obviously threw the taste off. Definately will fry next time!

Beer Margaritas

Got lots of groans when I said "Beergaritas" but once everyone tasted them I got apologies! They were gone in a flash! Used Corona Light and left out the h20. Great recipe!
