About this Cook

Well, I am a brazilian mother of two; a girl of 10 (Ana Carolina), a boy of 8 (Eduardo) and happily married to a boy of 33 (Renato). I Lived seven years in Florida, now I'm back in Brasil and I do my best to make the diferent foods I used to enjoy in the US, that we don't really eat here, so my family and friends can enjoy them too.

My favorite things to cook

I love baking, cakes and muffins most. They always look so beautiful and generally taste so good... Its most gratifying to see them rise.

My cooking tragedies

I was baking a chocolate cake for Eduardo's birthday and it raised too much too soon and overflowed all in the oven! I still managed the cake it tasted great in the end, but clean up was not fun! I had to wash the oven, using a hose and all. Took me hours!

Oriental Shrimp Noodle Soup

Well, I couldn't fine rice vermicelli, so I used glass noodles, the problem was that you can't really break them. They all entangled together making the soup hard to eat. So you might not wanna do that, or you'll loose points in presentation. But the taste was wonderful. Thank you Lindsay.
