Cream of Broccoli Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
My family and I absolutely loved this recipe! I made a few adjustments: I used cauliflower & broccoli (not only broccoli). I also added carrots to the onion and celery mixture (too add flavor). I pureed the stock prior to adding the purreed broccoli/cauliflower. Instead of adding the cheese as a garnish, I added all of it direclty to the finished soup and stirred until it was well incorporated. Simply delicious!

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
I tried the suggestions of rubbing the meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder prior to the bread crumbs. I guess that I rubbed in a little too much salt, because the meat was *very salty*. I would try this recipe again, but I'll have to pay attention to how much seasoning I add.

Shrimp Bisque II

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
My family loved this recipe (even my five year old son). I didn't have all of the ingredients, so I made some adjustments to the original recipe. I used chicken stock instead of the seafood stock. I used cans of cocktail shrimp and skipped the step with the shrimp shells. I used a can of tomato sauce instead of the paste and replaced the brandy & sherry with white wine. I omitted the Old Bay Seasoning - as I didn't have any on hand. Before adding the chopped shrimp at the end, I ran the soup through the food processor to eliminate any chunks. Then I added the chopped shrimp and warmed everything through before serving. I would definitely make this again!
