'Out of Salad Dressing' Salad Dressing

WOW! I made this one night when I was 'out of salad dressing'. Saw the title and knew it was for me :-) I also added a Tb of whole grain mustard and some fresh ground pepper. Wonderful!

Mexican Rice II

This was fantastic and easy to make. I used fresh garlic and chopped red and green chilies (both hot and mild) and a bit of chopped tomatoes as well. Tasted great!

Cheese's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

We liked this quite a lot. I made a few changes, cooking the onion with 2 cloves of garlic and adding 2 teas of mustard powder and a Tb dried chives (and freshly ground pepper) to the cheese mix while cooking. I also used a small package of gouda along with the cheddar. I also mixed 3/4 cup crushed Ritz crackers with 1-2 Tb butter and some more dried chives and sprinkled the top with this before baking.

Cordon Bleu Chicken Rolls

This was fabulous!!! I made a few changes like using Monterey Jack instead of Swiss (I don't care for Swiss), dried basil instead of thyme (and added a bit of garlic and onion powder and coated the chicken with crushed Ritz cracker crumbs. I also sprinked on a bit of mozarella over them during the last 5 min of cooking time. Wonderful!!! Very nice presentation as well. My family loved it and it would easy be good enough for a dinner party as well.

Garlic Cheese Flatbread

Fantastic. I added a bit of dried basil which was nice and gave it a bit of color. I think next time I will roll it a bit thinner as it rose a bit and add a bit more cheese.

Excellent. I also added some sausage meat, an onion and a red bell pepper to the mix and used crushed Ritz crackers. I forgot the parmesan and I bet it would have been even better with that! I might add some oregano and basil next time. The sour cream makes it so nice!

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Lovely crunchy crust and tender crumb. Was slightly bland, maybe a bit more salt. I had to use more flour but it was damp in my kitchen. I also had a hard time with them spreading out too much but I just rerolled after the last rise and they came out o.k.

Fresh Tomato Zucchini Soup

Fabulous soup. I made a few changes...adding another 4 tomatoes, a large glass of white wine and used three small red (hot) chilies as I like spicy food. I served it to friends and they went mad over it! With fresh bread it was unbeatable!

Savory Pork Chops

Very easy, wuick to make and very yummy. My family (even my four year old) loved it. I made a few small changes. For the cup of water, I used a cup of chicken stock and used onion and garlic powder instead of chopped onion. Also added some garlic and onion powder in the dredging flour. Wonderful and will definitly make it again!

Scalloped Potatoes II

Very nice. I added pepper and garlic/onion pwd btw layers. I also mixed in a chicken stock cube into the last cup of milk (can use chicken broth as well). Easy, good recipe that doesn't require too many ingredients.
