Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
I changed the recipe a bit. I used REAL cheese, not that process cheese in a can. I also added way more cheese than the recipe called for-because you can never have enough cheese. I also used cream of chicken instead-just to use up what was left from a previous meal. I also used twice the rice mainly because I had extra already cooked from another previous meal. Overall, it was really tasty, but I would suggest to the amount of rice the recipe calls for.

These burgers were absolutely delicious. I omitted the olives because I hate olives. Other than that, I followed the recipe.

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2010
I used the Taco Seasoning I recipe instead of store bought mixes (It is yummy). I still added the cayenne pepper to it. These fries were delicious and had a nice kick to them!

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2010
This homemade seasoning is fantastic. When you make taco meat with this, add a little bit of flower and water to the meat to create the sauce that you typically get with the store bought mixes. I WILL NEVER BUY THOSE MIXES AGAIN!

I would suggest roasting the garlic first. But it was still yummy!

I substituted the garlic powder with sliced garlic and added in some yellow squash. Just doing this made a wonderful meal. It's filling and delicious.

Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
This was yummy! I partially cooked the sausage and pre-baked the zucchini for about 10 minutes. After the 45 minutes in the oven, I sprinkled shredded sharp cheddar cheese, I didn't have any mozzarella. It was fantastic. the zucchini was al dente, just the way we like it!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
This was delicious. My boyfriend is a baker and he said I did a fantastic job for my first apple pie. I did take some of the suggestions of adding cinnamon and nutmeg. I will be making this one again. My thanks to the family of Grandma Ople!

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
This is best when it is grilled (I use the good 'ol fashion charcoal). I made this for my mom for Mother's Day and we loved it! Don't use the cheap Balsamic vinegar because it will taste bad, use the good stuff (come on its filet mignon people!). I used aged 10 yr old balsamic and a good red wine. Again, don't use cooking wines, if you wouldn't drink it, don't cook with it. If the glaze is prepared correctly, you get the great flavor of both the balsamic and the red wine.

Mediterranean Vegetable Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
This is a delicious stew, especially for the winter months. I replaced the olives with artichokes and it was a good switch (I don't like olives). Other than that the recipe was very easy to make and quite filling.
