Kafta (BBQ)

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2014
This recipe is 100% amazing!! My husband was a little skeptical because he doesn't like to try many new foods out of his comfort zone but...he loved it!! The flavor is amazing and unlike anything we've made before. It will stay in the Recipe Box and will become regular for BBQ I know

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
Oh my stars, I've found the best chocolate chip cookie recipe out there!! I made half the recipe, cooked 1/2 dozen and put the rest of the dough in the freezer to ensure it would not be consumed in one evening! I didn't change ingredients on dough but I did add white chocolate chips and pecans to suit my tastes and WOW! cannot say enough...I'll just stop there;) Save this recipe!

Chicken and Bowtie Pasta with Asiago Cream Sauce

Reviewed: May 30, 2014
This is a fantastic recipe that just needs a few "tweaks" to make it really spectacular. Here are a few small changes that I recommend trying: 1)Increase amount of Asiago to sauce(I grated a packed full cup) 2)Add more proscuitto, chicken and mushrooms...especially if you are making full box of farfalle pasta. 3)Peas! It gives just a little flavor and a lot of color to the dish. Enjoy, try it and see if you can make this a dish that becomes a family favorite!! I think you'll be impressed

Chocolate Hazelnut Snickerdoodle Cookies

Reviewed: May 8, 2014
These are my GO TO holiday cookie because they are simple, quick to make and sooo delicious! I make mine w/ another hazlenut spread(sorry jif) and sprinkle finely diced hazlenuts on top of the hazlenut cream...to die for! No one would guess the cookies are from a bag(unless you tell them) so try them out and be prepared to adjust the notch on your belt and jeans because they are that good!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: May 8, 2014
Great breakfast casserole that is simple to execute, fabulous tasting and brings many compliments(and requests for recipe). It is not a healthy recipe and I was tempted to buy healthier alternative ingredients but decided to keep recipe as is...just don't try to figure out weight watcher points w/ this one;)

Easy Lemon Lover's Bundt® Cake

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
I love lemon cake(lemon anything) and desired to find an easy recipe for a MOPS breakfast so I decided to try this and WOW!! this was DELICIOUS!!! Here are a few adjectives to describe: decadent, moist, flavorful and simple to make. I didn't make any changes(I make changes to recipes when they fail me) and this doesn't need any tweaking whatsoever. I actually have to say it's amazing and I went back for a second slice;) I received rave reviews and encouraged to make it for a bake sale. I hope you decide to try it

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
This dish is amazing, tasty, and simple to prepare. I followed the advice from most helpful reviews...I prepared recipe as instructed in the beginning, but adhered advice of others by dipping the finished rolls in egg (I used egg substitute) and then dipping thourougly in italian bread crumbs--delicious! I cooked at 350 degrees for approx. 20-25 minutes. This is a dish you could serve to guests/company confidently:)

Andy's Spicy Green Chile Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
This was a delicious Green Chile Pork recipe. I followed directions pretty closely, as I had all things on hand and didn't need to modify. I was a little worried a few hours after cooking because it just didn't seem like it was going to be flavorful. I waited it out, drained juices (with some reserved of course) and tasted meat...Omgoodness it was so fantastic! Even better second day per my husband! My only change will next time will be spicing up a bit more, as the serrano chiles weren't that spicy. I will probably follow others suggestions and add a jalapeno along w/ the other peppers

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
I know this received so many great reviews, but oh my goodness was this a strange meal! The spaghetti, cheese, meat, garlic and onion was great...it got weird when the cream of mushroom soup was added to the equation. I could not get past tasting canned soup on top of my meal!!! It was a great concept (or so I thought) but very disappointing meal.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
Ok, so this recipe has the potenial to be amazing, but there were a couple of things that need adjustments...thus a rating of 4 stars. We've learned from other reviews that the first modification is to reduce the salt--I tried 1 tsp in sauce, but next time I will reduce to 1/2 tsp-- I followed a review of doubling recipe for sauce(so you have sauce for rice) and that was great suggestion. Here's how to double: 1 3/4 cups heavy cream, 2(8oz can) tomato sauce, 2 tsp paprika, 3-4 cloves garlic(I used 1 tbsp of minced garlic)2 tsp cumin, 2 tsp garam masala...follow other directions of sauce to suit your tastes. I would advise you add spice because the dish is soo much better with it! If a jalapeno pepper is too spicy, I would suggest a tsp of cayenne pepper or less! A great recipe and with a little tweeking, it will be A+

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
These enchiladas are very good and tasty...just took a bit longer for me to make w/ all the additions etc. I did not use the taco and tomato sauces, I used a red enchilada sauce--though I didn't choose a very good one-- It will make a difference, so find one you like if using an enchilada sauce. Overall, a great recipe that is easy to tweak and adjust to your tastes...will make again for sure!

Buffy's Refried Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
First time attempting to make a home-made type of bean dish...this was easy and oh so delicious! In fact, we had some friends over for dinner that just raved about how delicious they were(woo hoo) I didn't have lard on hand, so my beans were made with 1/2 cup vegetable oil and the cup of water was replaced by 1 cup of the pinto bean juice heated with tablespoon chicken buillion for added flavor! I topped beans with shredded monterey jack and it was amazing

Manicotti

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
I made this for a family dinner and Oh Boy! did I get fabulous compliments on this dish! It was a fairly easy(tiny bit time consuming) to make and produced amazing flavor. I added italian seasonings and salts to the cheese mixture and added a little more cheese(asiago, mozzarella and parmesean blend) I did use the recommendation of another and placed cheese mixture into a gallon size ziploc baggie...it helped me fill the manicotti shells so much better and it helped save on time! A lifesaver tip for this dish, for sure! I'm making sure to keep these ingredients on hand so I can make it again soon

Chocolate Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
When making another chocolate sauce, I will be looking for another recipe. i just wasn't impressed at all w/ the flavor of this topping. I expected flavors to meld together well, but they just didn't compliment to my liking. Disappointing for me, but experiment and see if you can get it to your liking

Pudding-Topped Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
If there were a 4 1/2 star choice, it would have been a more accurate rating for this recipe. This fruit salad is pretty wonderful and very versatile, as you could substitute any fruit mixture or add any instant pudding(I will try lemon next)My suggestion is that if try variation of pudding, you may want to omit the pineapple from the topping as it made the fruit taste very pina colada themed. It was very good though and I had many compliments when I made it! Try it and embellish it to your liking and you won't be disappointed

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
First time ever attempting to make this delicious dessert, and it turned out to be the most exceptional Cinnamon Roll I have ever tasted! In my opinion, Cinnabon does not come close in comparison!! I do not own a bread machine so I made the rolls by hand. As recommended by another review, I dissolved yeast in warm milk and added margarine, salt, sugar and eggs. At this time, you should add flour to mixture 1 cup at time. When dough is kneaded and all flour mixed in, roll into a ball and set aside(covered) to rise for about 1 hour. Now you can follow the rest of instructions from main recipe page... Try these Cinnamon Rolls because you'll NEVER want to purchase from the store or another venue ever again!!! Absolutely delightful:)

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
This recipe was simple, quick and very full of taste. I would recommend this recipe, absolutely! My advice would be to season the chicken w/ salt, pepper and italian seasonings before dipping in egg and breadcrumbs(extra zest and flavor) The spagetti sauce you use will make the difference, so choose a great one that compliments flavors you love. Parmesean cheese and mozarella are the best cheeses to use...I tried monterey jack because it's what I had on hand(2nd time around used cheeses as recommended) If you like chicken parmigiana, try this quick recipe because you won't regret it
