Jerre's Black Bean and Pork Tenderloin Slow Cooker Chili

I had more meat and less black beans than the recipe called for so I made my necessary changes. I doubled the spices because of the meat and I added 1 can of corn to offset the missing beans. I also added 1 can of Ro-tel tomatoes with green chilis as I didnt have enough salsa for a double recipe. I would have made this as if I had all the ingredients but for a meal out of the pantry this was really good.

Super Easy Rosemary Bread Machine Bread

I made this as written and OMG it was light, fluffy and not overly herbed. It came out of the bread maker with perfect color and was terrific with some Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This is now my go to recipe.

Easy Sausage Rolls

This was a hit on Easter - I added onion powder, garlic powder, cheddar cheese Worcestershire and stuffed it inside freeze and thaw white dinner rolls. I would have given this 5 stars but it needed a lot of work to make it to our liking. I think a few more upgrades and it will be a crowd pleaser.

So Simple Beef Stroganoff

I loved how easy this was to cook in the slow cooker. I have a slow cooker that browns, so I browned the meat and sauteed some onions and mushrooms then followed the rest of the instructions to the letter. Super simple and really delicious.

Chicken Tortilla Soup in the Slow Cooker

I made this recipe as is and thought it was good but for my tastes it needed a little more pizzazz. I kicked it up with more salt, oregano and a can of diced spicy ortega chili's which made it a winner. Then I had lime wedges and white corn tortilla chips for the garnish sooo good.

Black Forest Dump Cake II

I followed the recipe and then did as directed by other reviewers with the butter placement. It came out as it was supposed to but I still didnt think it was awesome. I found it too salty based on the betty crocker triple chocolate cake mix I used. I know all cake mix has salt and I understand why but this was too much for me to enjoy. I dont think I would make this again although the guys in my house loved it and thought it was perfect.

Alabama Fire Crackers

I followed the suggestion of another reviewer and lessened the oil to 1 cup and 1/3 with 2 bags of oyster crackers and followed the rest of the recipe exactly. I made these for snacks for our camping trip and everyone gobbled them down with the same kind of surprise that I had. These little crackers with a weird mix of ingredients were actually really this good. I wasnt a believer and now I am for sure.

Momma Moots' Pork and Pierogies Casserole

I didnt really care for this dish, my BF thought it was just ok as well. We both wanted more spice or something to brighten the flavors. I used thyme instead of rosemary because I like it better and thought meh its just ok. We have a lot left over and I'm hoping it tastes better the next day.

Best Egg Rolls

I made this recipe while we were camping and wow what a hit they were. I added more garlic, ginger and included soy sauce. I made a dipping sauce of spicy mustard and ketchup which sounds gross but its really good for some reason - they serve it like that at a Chinese restaurant we frequent.

I really liked this recipe, the strange part was that the video said 4 1/2 cups of sugar as well as 2 1/2 cups of sugar. Based on other reviews I did the 2 1/2 cups and it was perfect. I would have given this 5 stars but as written the recipe would have been too sweet.

Spicy Albondigas

This was spot on for how I like it in restaurants. I made my meatballs a little bigger than I thought so next time I will remember to keep them on the smaller side. I added diced potatoes based on other reviewers and that only kicked it up as well. This is a good recipe and probably fits the bill for that restaurant flavor you might be looking for. Added benefit - this was SUPER EASY!!!

Erin's Cheesy Broccoli Soup

Wow this was good. I had a lot more broccoli than the recipe called for so I up'ed the ingredients and based on other reviewers I added carrots, onion and subbed butter for margarine. This was off the charts velvety smooth due to the cream cheese oh and I added more cheese - all things need more cheese!

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

My family loves this bread I think its good but I wouldn't call it a winner. I didn't make any changes I followed the recipe to the letter the 2 times that I've made it and I rarely have left overs. I've made it to go with soup and chili - both times it was good.

Sausage, Peppers, Onions, and Potato Bake

I don't know why something this easy is so crazy good but it really is. I double the sauce and that's about all I do - the recipe works as is. When I have guests that don't like wine. I use more broth and its still really good - you gotta eat this with good crusty bread its oh yeah just right.

Beef Stew VI

This was a good recipe but to me it had too much rosemary in it. I floured the meat instead of using corn starch. I also added the ketchup, Worcestershire and A-1 steak sauce as other reviewers suggested but meh it wasnt enough to notice. I will make this again to see if I can get that just right combo but as written plus reviews still didnt make this 5 stars for me.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

I really liked this soup - I followed the suggestions of other reviewers and added onions, carrots, celery potatoes and some thyme for more depth of flavor. It really is delicious recipe but mine was so thick it could hold up a fork. The family did not care for that part and being that I added so many veggies and an herb that's why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. If I had the space in the pot I would have kept adding broth to loosen it up but I ran out of room.

Kale Chips

I have had sauteed Kale and I couldnt stand it. When I got Kale in my CSA box today I was like oh great what am I going to do with this stuff - bleh. Then came this recipe and OMG I am now a Kale chip super fan. I could have devoured the whole bunch in one sitting but I held back just a little. These were ugly but so crunchy and delicious that the appearance didnt matter. I didnt have sherry vinegar so I used red wine vinegar and then followed the instructions from there on. Kale you and I are on our way to being BFF's
