Simply awesome!! I brought back some fresh, beautifully fragrant Mexican cumin last week and this is the first recipe I've tried it in. A total winner! Since the cumin was whole, I ground it with the chili powder using my mortar and pestle, adding it to the garlic to cook for a minute. It is key in bringing the flavours out. The addition of fresh cilantro to the finished soup is divine, as other reviewers suggested. Ahhh, I feel like I'm back in Mexico! Will be making this again and again. Thank you!
