Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
5 stars for quick! It was good enough for my seven year old son, my husband, and I! My son wanted to learn about how pizza is made and I didn't want to spend hours on the dough - this is a great recipe when you don't have a lot of time.

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
I loved this! Its was easy and yummy. I used French bread cut lengthwise and used "French Onion" condensed soup instead of the beef consume.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
This was delicious! I didn't have sherry so I substituted marsala and it worked fine. Instead of onion I used the frozen seasoning mix (chopped onion, red and green pepper) found with the frozen veggies in the grocery store. I put mushrooms in with the gravy at the end. I served it with salad and homemade mashed potatoes. My husband and son gobbled it up!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
Wow! This is the second time I have made this and I love it so much. I crave it year round. The only thing I did was cut the recipe in half because I have a tendancy to sit there and eat it all in one or two sittings. It needs no modifications in my opinion. Great recipe!

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
These are wonderful! I served them to my family when they came to dinner. They taste fresh and the mayo/cream cheese mixture is delicious. I used Triscuits as another reviewer suggested. I didn't have the dry Italian salad dressing so I substituted Italian seasoning and it worked fine. I will make these often!

Nectarine Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
Loved this! My husband and son loved it too - an amazing feat! I didn't have almond extract, sadly enough, so I used imitation coconut instead and it actually came out great! I also cut up the nectarines into small peices because I butchered the poor things trying to get the pits out. We ate the whole pie in one night.

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
My family loved these! I used onion powder instead of the fresh onion because I didn't have one, but it was still great! They turned out just like the fried chimichangas. Will use this recipe again. Thanks!

Monkey Bread Muffins

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
These turned out just how I hoped they would. They had a wonderful, almost carmel-like flavor and they were really fun to eat. It took me about ten minutes to prepare everything and they were easy to assemble. My family and I loved them. When I told my husband about the child calling them "monkey sins" he loved it and started calling them that too.

Slider-Style Mini Burgers

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
These turned out exactly as pictured: little homemade hamburgers with the mayo and cheese cooked right in. The rolls were a little crusty so I recommend reducing the bake time a little. I made these for my family and even my slightly picky six year old liked them. Didn't change a thing in the recipe, however, I did add a slice of cheese to mine before eating. I love cheese. ;)

Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
My family loved this stew! I used another reviewer's suggestion to save time. I combined beef bullion and one packet onion soup mix with two cups water and added that to the crock pot. Then I added a bit of steak seasoning to the flour to season the beef. Very yummy! Thanks for the recipe!!

Party Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Even my husband liked this! He requested that I make it again, which is rare. I made a few changes. I halved the recipe because I was only serving three people including me, and only used 6 chicken legs. I only used 1 can cream of mushroom soup plus 2 tablespoons of water. I also added 1 can of mushrooms. I didn't use the smoked beef because I didn't have any, but it seemed fine without it. I baked it for 2 hours at 375 degrees and the chicken was wonderfully tender. Thanks for the recipe!

Raisin Rice Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
This was my first time to roast whole chickens. I used the Citrus Brine also on allrecipes.com and I think the chicken and stuffing turned out great! My husband, who is hard to please, also liked the chicken and rice (he's not a raisin fan, so he didn't eat those). I also used ginger instead of tumeric as another reviewer suggested.

Warm and Spicy Autumn Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
Even my husband enjoyed this. I didn't do the oranges and cloves, but I'm sure that would've made it even better. I made a smaller batch as my family only has three members. Great for a cool autumn (or even winter) night!
