Sour Cream Apple Pie Deluxe
I combined this recipe with Puff Pastry Apple Raisin Streudel recipe on Food Network and has spectacular results. I use frozen pie shell unrolled in heavy cake pan -sour cream is key! tried it both ways-golden raisins are key as well. added all pie crust (uncooked) and placed brown sugar and white sugar and butter crumb topping on top. this was fantastic-people beg for this dessert.

Apple Crisp II
This is an exceptional simple recipe. I have tried many apple crisps and my company and I loved it. I would add 1\4 cup water-just a bit to keep it moist while baking. 3\4cup sugar is optimal here making the tart-sweet ratio perfect. I used 5 granny smiths but will use 6 next time. I made double batch of topping but used about 1 and 1\4 of it on top. I froze the additional topping for a smaller portion next time. I used 1\2 cup melted butter in the topping that I didn't freeze. I would have ice cream next time but not on top. The topping is too good to ruin it w ice cream on top of it. GREAT RECIPE!
