Angie's Dad's Best Cabbage Coleslaw

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
First time making coleslaw: This was very easy to do with my cuisanart to grate up all the ingredients. It tastes like a very standard coleslaw if that is what you are going for. It does taste better with time so I recommend making a few days before serving.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2012
I've had this recipe saved for years to make, but either never had the ingredients, time, occasion or excuse to eat such a rich and delicious breakfast. I finally made them last night and baked them this morning, and wow! They were worth the 3 year wait. I use my kitchenaide stand mixer to prepare the dough. I made the bowl warm, warmed the milk and mixed in the yeast. (Make sure to check the expiry on your yeast if you don't bake often). Once dissolved (Aprox 10 minutes) I mixed in the other ingredients using e dough hook. I let it rise in the oven (preheated to 200 than turned off, covered with a damp tea towel). Then I rolled out the dough and added the cinnamon mixture. I rolled from the short end of the rectangle. I didn't have a tape measure so just guessed the size. i cut the dough roll with a sharp knife in half, then each half in half again and then each quarter into 3. I put them in a glass baking dish and into the fridge over night. For the cream cheese frosting I took just less than half of a brick of cream cheese (our cream cheese is sold in 250 gram bars- which is equivalent to 8 oz). Mixed everything together and put int he fridge over night as well. In the morning I baked for 25 minutes in a 350 degree convection oven for 25 minutes. Once out of the oven I spread the soften icing (took it out of the fridge earlier) over them which melted a little more. Mouth watering amazing! And really not that hard to make! The house also smells amazing for our morning guest

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
This was my first time making quiche. It turned out well. I made it with Greek yogurt as other reviews suggested. I also added a dash of salt and pepper. It turned out great, even hubby went for seconds (after balking at the idea of quiche). I would recommend however the deep dish pie crust as mine overflowed and killed my drip tray. Also rather than layering all the ingredients I just mixed them together in the bowl, and then poured into the crust.

My first time making tandoori chicken. It was easy to make and tasted great...my Indian in-laws didn't even know it was tandoori chicken though...they said there wasntenough spices.next timeiwill marinate longer (I only had a few hours this time). If marinating longer still doesn't work then I will increase the spices.

Delicious guac. My husband is not a fan of cilantro so I must remember not to add too much if he is eating it.

Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
This was my first time making 'simple fudge'. I used 1 cup milk chocolate and 2 cups semi sweet. I'm glad I did because it was a little bitter. I poored the hot fudge into a baking dish lined with tin foil, which made it very easy to remove and cut. It looked very appealing and was the first dessert to go. For how simple it was to make I will definitely make again.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
Very good sauce! I doubled the batch and used 2 cans whole tomatoes and 2 cans pured tomatoes (meant to buy diced). I was scared of not pre cooking the meatballs and was a little short on time so I browned them slightly (didn't fully cook them) before putting them in the sauce. The sauce got rave reviews!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
These were easy to Make and turned out good. My husbands work usually emails and call me to say thanks when I bake, and this tome I didn't hear from them, he said they were good but not "the best good". My first batch turned out a little flat so I added more oatmeal for my nextm batch and it really didn't make any difference.

Fiesta Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
These were good. I followed the directions exactly. I used the taco seasoning from this site. I stuffed yellow green and red peppers, and the green ones tasted the best. The recipe made way too much, next time I will cut in 1/2, or even less.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
Amazing cookies. Made a double batch (barely fit in the kitchenaid mixer) for work. My husband did all the mixing and I rolled them into balls and baked them. Very easy and delicious. People are already asking me for the recipe. will definitely make again. I didn't change anything except I didn't mix the baking soda with water and they turned out just fine.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
Incredible. I chose this recipe as my nephew has allergies to eggs and I wanted to make a birthday cake that he could eat. I peeled and grated the zuchini using a large grater... next time I will use a smaller grater as you could visibly see the zuchini on the top once baked. It was very dry pouring into the baking sheet but turned out moist and delicious. The icing covered up the zuchini flaw and it was incredible. Although already very sweet I may add semi sweet chocolate chips next time.
