Grandma's Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2012
Great recipe! This is what I did different: Used only 2 1/2 cups sugar, and only about 3/4 the can of evap. milk. Also I alternated adding the sugar and milk into the pan, it kept the thickness more even. Thanks for the recipe!

Overnight Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2012
This is incredible! I get compliments every time, but here is what I do different: I add a touch of milk to the recipe and I do a crumb topping that includes butter for the top... I also have baked in within a couple of hours instead of letting it sit overnight and it still turns out moist and delicious! thanks for the recipe!

Peppered Focaccia

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
Awesome!! Doubled the recipe and divided each of your halves into halves, which makes about 8 oval sized personal pizzas. Baked the dough on stoneware ahead of time, brushing with olive oil and spices... baking 10-12 min at 400 degrees, till just under golden. Removed from pan, cooled and set aside. They turned out perfect!! Will place sauce, mozzarella cheese, sliced roma tomato, mushrooms and fresh basil on top for grilled pizza at supper time. (Grill until cheese melts over med heat) We love grilled pizza, but this dough recipe has made it that much better!! Thanks!!

Sugar Cookies VI

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
Great recipe! Always watch how much flour you are using. Always use a little less first, then you can add more if you need to. I used 2 1/4 cups flour and didn't need any more than that. I also used only 1 tsp. vanilla then 1/2 tsp almond extract, which always adds a nice flavor. Oh, and I used 1 1/4 white sugar instead of using brown. Didn't have any problems with sticking when I used my stoneware.. only with my regular cookie sheet. They turned out great for Valentine's Day!

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
These turned out perfect... I followed the recipe closely for the butter and flour but added maybe a tbsp. more sugar. I only whipped for 5-6 min. total and they still came out fine. I was looking for a basic but easy shortbread cookie recipe and this is definitely it!! Alterations: I omitted the cherries, added "smaller than chopped" walnuts and pecans and dipped them in confectioners sugar while still warm. Yum! And they do melt in your mouth. You could also omit nuts and coating with conf. sugar at the end and instead ice with butter icing (like "melting moments") or dip half in chocolate... I will try both of these at a later date... Thanks for the recipe!!

Apple Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
This is a great recipe! I just had it last week at someone's house. The only difference is that they added 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup white sugar, then stirred in toffee bits at the end after the other ingredients were well blended. If you haven't tried it with the toffee bits you need to! Thanks for sharing!

Blueberry Dessert Squares

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
This dessert was so yummy and the best part is that it was so easy! It is basically a blueberry crisp. I love a good recipe, but good and easy is best! Thank you! The only thing I would suggest is to add a little more than 1/2 cup of shortening or butter ( I used butter)...1/2 cup wasn't crumbly enough. I will definitely make this again
