Baked Maryland Lump Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Yummo!! I have never made a crab cake before and this was delicious, eventhough it was a little salty. The only changes I made were Miracle Whip for the mayo, King crab for the lump crab and omitted the butter. Oh, I did have to add some extra breadcrumbs because it was a little wet, but not very much. I scaled it down to just make 2, so I didn't make my family the guinea pigs! Excellent recipe and will definitely make this again!! I forgot to say I took the advice of others and only cooked them for about 10 mins on each side!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
Hello!!! This was delicious!!! I made a few changes, but mainly stuck to the recipe. I used turkey bacon and after cooking it, I sauteed peppers, onion and garlic in the grease and omitted the mushrooms. I added some cayenne pepper to the season salt because we love spicy food! I then cooked the chicken in the same pan. By using one pan, you get all the flavors of the dish. For the sauce, I reduced the amount of corn syrup to 1 tsp. and used mircle whip instead of mayo. I topped the chicken in the dish with the sauce, then bacon and veggie mix, then Jack cheese! Sooo yummy! I will surely make this again!***Just made this again. Used bottled honey mustard, turkey bacon and pepper jack cheese...still absolutely yummy! Thanks for a great recipe!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
These were super delicious eventhough I made a few changes. I replaced the corn syrup with honey, didn't use the sesame seeds because I didn't have them and omitted the chocolate chips, but added extra raisins. I cut them into granola bar length, wrapped them individually for an easy on the go breakfast! I will definately make these again! Oh I also crunched up about 1/3 cup of peanuts because my husband loves them. It gave them a crunchier texture!

Baked Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
This was very yummy! It was sooo easy to make! I only made 2 chicken breasts because I wasn't sure if I would like it, but it was delicious! The chicken was moist on the inside and had a little crunch on the outside from the sesame seeds. The seeds didn't stick very well, so after I put them on the baking sheet, I threw a few more on top! The only thing I added was 1/4 tsp of garlic powder to the dry mix. Thanks for a super simple and yummy dish!

Broiled Chicken with Roasted Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
Hello...this was delicious! I actually only made the sauce and put it in a baked pasta dish. I was looking for something very garlic based because we LOVE garlic! I had to make changes based on what I had and because we are a gluten free family. I can't wait to make this again and neither can my husband! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!!! Changes: 2 heads of garlic & roasted it for 40 minutes, 1/4 cup of Parm cheese and 1/4 cup Asiago cheese , (we love our cheese too), rice flour & stirred in some sauteed peppers and onions.

Red Bean 'N' Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
This was really good!! It had a light sweet and tangy flavor. I added extra peppers and some minced garlic while cooking the onions. I took the advice of another member and served it over brown rice. Excellent idea! I just made a little slurry of cornstarch and water, added it to the soup and let it reduce longer, until it became thick. We will sooo be making this again!!

The spread is delicious!! The balance of the herbs is wonderful and I especially love the dill. I'm actually going to make this again for our Memorial Day cookout and serve it as a dip for veggies! Thanks for the recipe!

Mayonnaise Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
I made these to go with our Father's Day breakfast. They were super easy and very tasty! I didn't have self-rising flour, so I made my own. Just mix 7/8 cup of regular flour and 1 tsp of baking powder per cup needed for the recipe. They were even better warmed up and topped with butter and honey the next morning! Thanks!

Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
Oh so yummy!! The changes I made were: cooking spray instead of butter, Fat Free Evaporated Milk for the half & half, diced jalapeno instead of hot sauce, chicken broth for the water/cube mix, added green peppers, diced carrots, a can of regular corn and an extra clove of garlic. It is super yummy!!!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
Absolutely delicious! This was my first time to make zucchini bread and this was easy and yummy. I used egg sub and applesauce instead of eggs and oil, just to cut out the fat. Great recipe! Thanks! ***I've been making this all summer because of my full garden & it is still my favorite!! I have made some additional changes that I think have made this bread even better. I use less sugar because replacing the oil with applesauce adds natural sweetness. I use 3/4 cup white sugar & 3/4 cup brown sugar. I also sub 1 cup of wheat flour for the white. Don't drain the zucchini completely before adding it in the mix. The natural juice makes it really moist!

Old-Fashioned Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
Mmmm! These were delicious and super easy! I made them exactly as the recipe says, but used light margarine and skim milk to make them a little healthier. I do agree with some other reviews that you might want to add more salt. I don't even like American cheese, but had some on hand because my husband loves all cheeses. I couldn't stop "tasting" them once they came out of the oven! Thank you for this recipe!

Honey-Dijon Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
I gave this 5 stars because although it is not the best chicken I have ever had, it was tasty & SUPER easy! It went really well with rice. I did double the sauce as suggested by other reviews. Delicious and I will certainly make it again!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
I've made these brownies a few times, but had not made them in awhile. I just baked a batch and yummo!! I forgot how delicious these are! I always cut the recipe in half, bake them in an 8X8 dish, use margarine instead of butter, egg substitute and white chocolate chips. They always turn out amazing and I don't feel as guilty eating more than 1 because I cut out some of the fat! ;) I also suggest just hand mixing, so the batter doesn't get over mixed. Best brownies ever! Everyone must try these!

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
This is super yummy and easy!! The only changes I made were ground chicken instead of beef, whole wheat rotini pasta and a jar of tomato basil spaghetti sauce. I also added chopped black olives to the mix. Grated some parmesan and sprinkled a little italian seasoning on top of the mozzarella . Yummo!! I am sure you could add any veggies to it that you would normally eat on a pizza. Thanks for a hearty and easy recipe!

Mini Pumpkin Butterscotch Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
Yummo!!! I made these last night and they are almost gone! I only substituted applesauce for the butter, egg beaters for the eggs & used half all purpose flour with half wheat flour. I did make regular size muffins instead. I made half of them with butterscotch chips for my husband and half with raisins for my daughter. The ones with butterscotch chips were amazing!!! I can't wait to make these again! Thanks Megan for an awesome recipe!

Super-Simple, Super-Spicy Mongolian Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2012
Hello, this truly is super easy and super yummy!! We love spice, but just incase, I took the advise of the other reviewers and decreased the pepper flakes to about a tsp. Next time, I will add a bit more. I also didn't have green onions, so I sauteed some red bell peppers & some water chestnuts. I didn't have peanut oil either, so I just used olive oil. Wow, thanks for this recipe and for giving me the confidence to cook with steak! I can't wait to make this again!!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
Yummo!! Donate the canned sloppy joe's mix and make this! This was fast, easy and delicious! Reminded me of dinner as a kid. The only changes I made was used ground turkey, fresh minced garlic and add some worchestshire sauce. I did double the sauce because I like it really sloppy! Thank you for a wonderful recipe.
