I didn't think I could make a fancy dinner. But, this was so easy and my family thought I spent hours making. It was that "FANCY" tasting!

Christine's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
This is the best meatloaf ever. if you think you hate meatloaf, try this recipe. It'll change your mind. It is NOT your normal average Meatloaf. Using BBQ sauce will make people ask if you bbq'd your meatloaf. Add more BBQ sauce and less ketchup for even more of a BBQ flavor. Depending on the fat content of your ground beef, you may want to add more bread crumbs. I use ground sirloin hubby grinds so 1/2 cup is enough. Makes great leftovers too. Slice, fry slightly until crispy brown and serve with more BBQ sauce. Or make cold ML and cole slaw sammiches. This is a real favorite at our house!

Quite possibly the best Pork Loin Roast I've ever eaten. Moist and full of flavor, an ultimate comfort food with all the elegance of a "FOR Company only dish." This will be our Christmas Holiday Meat dish.

Herb & Garlic Encrusted Rack of Pork

Reviewed: May 7, 2015
I have made this recipe now probably 6 or 7 times. It is fantastic! So easy to prepare and if you follow the directions, use a thermometer and let rest after removing from the oven, you'll have a moist and company worthy main dish that will make you look like a Rock Star Chef! I cannot thank you enough Marianne for posting this awesome Pork recipe.

Spicy Veggie Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2014
Swapped Johnsonville Breakfast Sausage Links for the hot Italian sausage. I cut the links in half, browned and set aside while I added the remainder of the ingredients. Added the browned links and proceeded with the recipe as written omitting the 1/2 cup cream. Very yummy! This is really your basic soup recipe using basic soup ingredients. A wonderful beginner cook recipe. Using Johnsonville Breakfast Sausage Links made it "every body" friendly and was super flavorful.

Chicken Zoodle Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2015
This soup is de-lish-shush! I mean it's really good! Easy to make chicken soup adding zoodled zucchini is a healthy way to get your veggies and like them too. I would not hesitate using this recipe to make Chicken Noodle Soup or Chicken Rice Soup or Chicken & Dumplings either. The taste is just down right comfort food. We loved it and I've made 3 batches already. Winner, winner...chicken dinner Brian. Thanks for a wonderful chicken soup recipe where we can eliminate the carbs and gluten and still have a fabulous and flavorful dish. Thank you Brian for a great (and I mean great) Chicken Zoodle Soup recipe!

Cranberry Apple Stuffed Pork Loin

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
We loved this roast and have decided it will be our Chrismas Holiday meat dish. I followed the recipe with the following tweaks: Brined pork overnight. Did NOT trim fat from loin. Increased water to 3/4 cup. Added 1/4 cup applebutter to apple, cranberry, pecan mixture. Increased chopped onion to 1/3 cup. Sauteed chopped onions along with 1/3 cup diced celery in 1 tablespoon butter to add to stuffing mixture. Stirred stuffing mixture into apple/cranberry/pecan mixture. After spreading the stuffing on the loin and tying in a roll, I quickly browned in 2 tablespoons olive oil; and placed in roasting pan to bake. I removed the roast when the internal temp reached 145 degrees. Covered with tin foil while I made the gravy from the pan drippings. This was probably the best pork loin roast I've ever eaten . It was so moist and had great flavor. It tasted like the best comfort food you could have. I served with sliced oven roasted sweet potatoes, applesauce and sour dough rolls.

Jersey Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
This is excellent tomato soup. I saved this recipe this past summer while we were putting up our very large supply of tomatoes from our garden. I couldn't wait to make it. Well, tonight was the night. The only change I made was to use Lactose Free Whole Milk. Best creamy tomato soup ever! Thanks Shorecook! BTW, I love that there's carrot in it.

Nana's Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
We love Asian cuisine and this recipe did NOT disappoint. I made this dish as is with one exception. I used my food processor to quickly mince the mushrooms. I also put the cooked and cooled chicken in the FP and pulsed 2 or 3 times to get the texture we like. We like carrots. Again I used my FP to shred them. A very lovely and refreshing dinner. Thanks Baking Nana. We'll be eating this one often.

This is very good! I substitued 1 cup of plain greek yogurt for the sour cream due to intolerance. Moist with a cake texture! I just couldn't quit eating it. The first piece I ate right out of the oven, the second piece, I topped with vanilla yogurt, the 3rd piece I ate was warmend with a pat of butter on top. Easy to prepare too!

Pork Medallions with Balsamic Vinegar and Capers

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
We loved this very much. It's easy to prepare too. I followed the recipe exactly except I used Nasturtium pods instead of capers. I especially like the fresh taste the lemon zest gave to the finish. This recipe is going into my pork meal rotation in the "my menus" section of AR. Thanks Marianne. We Loved it! BTW, served with steamed broccoli and baked potatoes.

Ryan's Reverse Popper Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2013
All I have to say is YUM! I made this for #1 Son's Birthday (keeping in the theme of favorite dishes of Sons) and it was completely wiped out in a very short time. I put in only 5 Jalapenos because the ones I purchased were big. However, next time I will put in 7 or 8 and work my way up to 10. It was so tasty and not hot at all. Just good! The bacon and onions and garlic only add to this super delicious dip. I already know I'll be making this again and again. Thank you Cathill for creating such a wonderful and EASY dish that will be on the DECKER menu from now on for our family gatherings.

Meyer Lemon and Blueberry Cheese Tart

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
This recipe is AMAZING! Oh, and it's very simple and quick to make too! Light and refreshing and very Blueberry-ee! I used Safeway Brand (Select) Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins in place of TJ's Tea Cookies. The bag was 5 ounces. The recipe calls for 4 1/2 ounces so I ate the other half ounce. Those little cookie thins are yummy! I didn't make my own Lemon Curd. I bought Safeway Select Lemon Curd in the jar. I picked the Blueberries the morning I made the Tart and they were just bursting with flavor. Made for my Book Club, the gals gobbled down every single bite and I had none left to bring home to hubby. I will be making this recipe many more times in the future. Thanks Dana for a real Blueberry keeper!
