It’s been a little over one month since the Pacific Northwest Round Up! My darling husband and I are still reminiscing about the wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime (for us) get together of the most wonderful peeps on earth at our home in . I can't help but tear up as I write this because in writing about our time together the memories come flooding back to me. I truly do mean this in every way! We had a blast! OrangeZest and I are so grateful for those who were able to came. We enjoyed every single minute of your visit here with us! And, now...

I'd like to share with the rest of you what we did on those glorious 3 days in July, 2014!!!

It will be so hard to try to convey every nuance of each day of the Round Up, because as they say, you just had to be there! I will however, hopefully  be able to highlight some of the outstanding and memorable moments of the event that will undoubtedly bring back memories to those who attended and convey to those who couldn't the memories we made that will last a lifetime!

Because a “Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words,” I’ll post as many as I possibly can. We hope you’ll enjoy looking at them. We had the best time in the making of them.

Since I don't want this to be the longest blog in AR history, I'll just post day one, Friday, of the Round Up today. Beginning with our get together dinner on Thursday evening.

Thursday, July 17th

We started with Dinner at Frankie's in Albany on Thursday evening.

Sort of a meet & greet before the Festivities began on Friday.

Friday Morning July 18th:

Getting ready for the Bus Ride to Nye Beach at the Oregon Coast.

It was so interesting that somehow, putting grown adults on a

school bus magically turned us all back into 7th graders.

The ride over was hilarious! We even broke out in song along the way.

Like I said above, "You had to be there!"

After a few hours of shopping and site seeing, our Bus Driver took us further North up the

Coastline to Mo's Seafood Restaurant in Lincoln City for lunch.

While at lunch Cathy presented my DH & myself with the article she wrote about her

upcoming trip to Oregon and featured a recipe of coastline cuisine,

Clam Slumgullion Chowder and Cheddar Bay Bisquits!

What an honor that was!!!

We had some serious Wine Drinkers in this crowd.

Does it look good Christine?

After a wonderful tour of the Winery and much sampling...

We rose our glasses for a toast!

An amazing end to an amazing day.

That brought to an end the First Day of the

AAAAHHHHH.....how incredibly grateful am I to you? Candice, you and I have known each other the longest of anyone and you have no idea how much I treasure both you and Orange(oh and Christine too of course!). I'm just so glad after both of us talking about this for so long that you finally "just did it"....It meant the world to me to finally get to meet some of these peeps that I've "known" for years. I knew that Barb was my other half and she proved me right. Loved her! Loved Akis!, Loved seeing Lora again and just laughing all day for 3 solid days!, Loved meeting Cathy and Randy, Brian and Deb, Julie and Mike, Melissa and Jade, Deb (Bikerfamily) and Cyndi (she's so beautiful). I'm just sorry that the others that we hoped would be there were absent. Just know you were remembered...Marianne and Russ :) AR Elizabeth, Janet Shum. Can't wait to read the next thrilling chapters and see more pictures of our great time. One thing is for sure, we truly live in some of the most beautiful and awe inspiring part of the country and for that, I'm so very proud that we could put our best face forward to show off our little corner of the world.

we had such a wonderful time myself and my moonkid Jade!! It was great getting to hug those necks of the ones I've already met before in person and finally getting to meet new ones too...It was an honor and treat to be among precious folks that all just had a blast. I wished I could get the video linked on here of the song that was busted out on the bus!! It was the best. Candice and OrangeZest were just gracious hosts. Can't wait to see everyone again. And it sure was great for Jade. She has a wonderful time, we had to also say Happy Birthday to Bikerfamily and Jade. They shared the same birthday ;-) Everyone was soo wonderful. I'm in LOVE with Candice and Orange!!! I'll admit it.

Such a wonderful time and I had the pleasure of staying with Candice and Orange. Got some great travel and sightseeing time in with Cookin' Cyn. I had to go back and look to see what was glowing in my hand. Must have been the white lightning (I mean water, cough...)

Aug. 23, 2014 5:01 pm
Thank you Mom for just doing this. It was a total blast (and a lot of work)! The breakfast before going to the coast was devine. But the trip over to the coast on the short bus takes the cake. We laughed, got time to catch up with each other, we laughed, we sang, played games and laughed some more! I love this AR family of ours, such good people. Thank you for getting someone to drive us over so we all could enjoy the scenery and each other! Love you so much!

Aug. 23, 2014 7:24 pm

Aug. 24, 2014 10:57 am
Wow, you deserve a blue ribbon for organizing what looks like a spectacular roundup, with a great turnout, too. On my last trip to Oregon, we spent a weekend in Portland then headed down to Lincoln City, where we spent the rest of our time (did day trips from there). We spent our last day in Willamette Valley on our trek back to the Portland airport (had a red eye flight so we were in no hurry). Went to the Evergreen Aviation Museum and just enjoyed the beauty of Willamette Valley (and some of its wine, too). Thanks for sharing with all of us, and looking forward to seeing more photos.

Aug. 24, 2014 12:57 pm
Manella, Thank you! We DID have a good time. AR Peeps are so awesome! YES! YES! YES! One of these days.....

Aug. 24, 2014 12:58 pm
Magnolia Blossom, you are the perfect houseguest! You can come stay here anytime at all. Next time, bring your hubby. We would love to meet him too! Thank you for coming and thank you for your friendship! Hugs!

Aug. 24, 2014 1:01 pm
Still Emeralds, OH! Thank you! That is so funny you say that... I have a group of friends that call me a Pixie. Probably because of my short hair and all I'm involved in. They always ask me how I get everything done! hehehe! BTW, I'll shoot you an e-mail tomorrow. We've got lots going on today. And, hubs & I have had terrible colds! UGH!

Aug. 24, 2014 1:03 pm
Christine, My DD! You are such an amazing woman. I can't thank you enough for all your help! I couldn't have pulled it off without you! And, absolutely, it was so fun for me & Dad to show off Oregon to everyone. I'm still laughing right out loud about the "Short Bus" ride over to the coast! What a hoot that was!!!

Aug. 24, 2014 1:15 pm
OH MAGS!!! You crack me up! And, I love you to pieces!!! But please don't "DRAW" me a pixie!

Aug. 24, 2014 1:19 pm
Maugigirl, it WAS fabulous to reconnect with everyone! I love AR Peeps! And, isn't AVON great! I'm so lucky that we, as she says, "Live just 17 miles and one rest stop way from each other." Thank you for coming and thank you for stopping by to comment. Hugs!

Aug. 24, 2014 1:21 pm
lutzflcat, I don't know about a Blue Ribbon, but I did need an entire week to rest afterwards. (more like a month) It was worth every single minute of plotting and planning. And HEY!!! The next time you're in Oregon, you simply MUST let me know. We would love to have you come for dinner or ????? Seriously, let me know. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog to comment!

Aug. 25, 2014 7:50 am
Candice: Wow! Wasn't it fabulous? I thoroughly enjoyed the sightseeing you organized for us. So much fun to see everyone. AR Friends are the best!

About Me
I am a wife and mother of 5 grown children. Being semi-retired has allowed me time to do things I've put off doing; like really learning to cook and bake. I also love to garden, read, scrapbook and just recently I've gotten into geneology. I am loving this phase of my life with my husband and family.
My favorite things to cook
Fresh garden vegetables and fruits. The anticipation of what my garden will produce is always a joy. I also love to bake. And, Mostly I love to bake cupcakes and sweet treats.
